I like the fact that you can put everything away in the case. It's well made and reasonably priced lm sure our granddaughter will be very pleased.

I guess, its on of those "you'll get what you pay for" lessons....Albeit you get a LOT of things for it, just nothing really useful or of good quality, the microscope itself its pretty useless regarding viewing ability/clarity or "educational value", for that price I don't need to mention the build-quality....You get a handy carry case for it, so it could be something for the younger ones to "pretend" play...but unfortunately nothing a 8year old could take serious or USE as intended!

I saw another review on here by someone who received the same version of this we did and they have it 1 star due to no battery compartment. We received the same model - take the plastic tab out of the “mirror” part and the led light works off a cell battery in that area, so no need for any other batteries. This item was bought for my daughter’s 8th birthday, and is a lot of fun! The slides which come with it are great to look at but the blank slides give some great options for looking at other things if interest. She absolutely loves it - it takes some getting used to with lining up the plates for viewing etc but once you’re comfortable with that you can have great times with this, highly recommended!

Bought as a gift. Sadly the thin plastic bracket that holds the mirror / light was broken straight out of the box. It's made of extremely thin plastic which very likely wouldn't last even a couple of uses even if it wasn't snapped to begin with. A real shame as the rest seemed well made, let down by 1 small l, but fundamental part rendering it useless.

Good value but did not come with instructions on how to use some of the contents.

My 10 year grandson loves this product. Great quality, value for money.

Very difficult to adjust the mirror to illuminate the slide. The aperture of the eyepiece is so small tha unles your eye is exactly in the right position you see nothing.
