That’s true, it’s not feathery down filled, but it’s definitely not a brick! I spent $8k at Raymour Flannigan for 2 power reclining flexsteel sofas, 2 power rocker recliner flexsteel chairs, a coffee table, 2 end tables and 1 side table. They are the most uncomfortable pieces of furniture I ever wasted my money on!! They are as hard as a board!! Even after a year of use, yes the seat sinks but still very hard!! I purchased this Honbay convertible sectional and chair, just put the chair together and find it very comfortable comparatively. I am to the point that I’d rather purchase less expensive furniture and replace it every 2-5 years. It’s way less expensive. I do love the R & F tables though. For reference I am 59, 175 lbs, 5’ 4” tall and this set is deep enough to sit with a leg under me. I do not feel like I’m sliding out. I’m not sure how it will hold up as everyday adult seating. But, however, I am considering it, as I’ve stated my R & F furniture is extremely uncomfortable! I purchased this to use in a formal living room we don’t use. I’m setting it up for the grand kids to use so they can store toys and games in the seats, this way they aren’t crowding the great room with clutter. Hope this helps someone. I might just list this answer as a review as well.
