Bought this to replace a printer data cable I used for my dac. I always thought a cable is a cable and 0 and 1 sound the same regardless, as they are digital. However, this cable noticeable improved the sound quality, making it sound clearer and more refined.

So this absolutely does what it set out to do, transferring them 1s and 0s form laptop to DAC. It also feels real plush and lays nicely across the equipment (desk cable management isn't as pretty as at the HiFi, I'm sorry). I'm not 100% on the off-purple, stone colouration as all my gear is black but it looks good, too. The connectors look and feel solid. As far as a USB cable goes, this is definitely a nice one. ... But does it USB my music better than the cheap, crappy, free one that came with the DAC? Couldn't say. Definitely not worse, at least, and I get the peace of mind that I have a quality cable doing the job at a reasonable price.
