Brilliant, Highly Functional, but not perfect
This is a great ice cube tray! It mostly does what it is supposed to, which is to dispense the ice cubes one at a time by snapping the little rubber thingy underneath each cube, as long as you don't overfill the compartments. It is actually quite handy especially if you only use a little bit of ice at a time. The drawbacks: sometimes some of the cubes stick, it doesn't have a cover to keep odors and frost out, you will need a separate container to keep ice in if you make a lot, and they don't stack as neatly as my other Orka tray.It seems every ice tray out there has it's pros and cons, and you need to decide what works best for your needs. As far as pure functionality goes, this Joseph Joeseph tray is my Top pick right along with my old antique metal tray with the pull bar which has always been genius (you can get a stainless steel replica of that one here on Amazon for around $30: Stainless Steel Ice Cube Tray - BPA Free). As far as space-saving capabilities, I chose the Orka: Orka Ice Cube Tray, Blue Even though I need to run a little hot water over that one to get the ice to pop out, I can neatly stack them about five high in my freezer, without a separate container to keep the ice in.

This ice tray sucks. The "quick snap" tabs on the bottom are ...
This ice tray sucks. The "quick snap" tabs on the bottom are supposed to be the arthritic's answer to getting ice out of trays, but all it does is break off that part of the ice cube. And that's even after cracking the whole tray first! (which is totally the opposite of the point.) My wife has had arthritis in her hands since she was 2 - TWO, people - and she still prefers the basic, standard ice cube tray. This tray would be best served for throwing at your enemies' heads.

Overpriced and mostly hype
I like relatively nice kitchen products and was really looking forward to liking this tray. I have had it for a few months now, and spent most of that time wishing I had bought something else.Sure, you can get one ice cube out at a time... But, after the first couple of uses, the little piece of ice that's made to be used as a push button starts to break off the main ice cube really easily. So, all you are left with in 80% of tries is a regular square ice cube that you have to push out of the tray. The problem is the tray is not very flexible, so old twist the tray methods that work on other trays don't work very well on this one, and in the end it ends up being harder to remove the ice cube from the tray than it would have been on a normal old type tray. This tray introduced lots of banging, wrestling, and frustration to our drinks. This week I finally remembered the problem while I was at Target, and for less than the cost of one of these, I picked up 4 sterilite stackable ice trays, plus a sterilite ice bin. Those trays are really easy to twist ice out of, and stack very well. So now, we just spend 2 minutes a week freezing 4 trays and twisting cubes out into the bin, and voila, ice all week long, no fights, no mini bits of ice levers broken off, no frustration. I tossed the Joseph Joseph tray in the garbage.

Seemed like an amazing idea
This seemed like a brilliant idea when I bought it.... no more twisting the ice tray to get my ice out. And it works. Kind of. The big issue is that after you use it the first time, the little silicone nubbin that breaks off to allow the ice cubes to come out so easily retains the frozen piece that gets broken off. The trick is you need to refill the thing with hot water so it melts that little nubbin each time before you put it back in the freezer.

Best Ice Tray Ever!
This ice tray is by far the coolest I have even seen. It has two different ways to use it and the cubes it makes are a very nice size.-You can crack the tray like normal and make all the ice cubes loose.-You can also pull the tab for each ice cube and individually let them out.You can't do both options, if you crack the tray like normal all the ice will fall out when you turn it over. The trays stack in a good way although i feel like it could be better. Joseph Joseph makes so amazing products i have a lot of them and they are all wonderful.I highly recommend these trays if you are looking for new ones.
