MUST BUY IF YOU HAVEN'T GIVEN UP USING YOUR X2 DUE TO CUTTING PERFORMANCE FRUSTRATION!!
I'm very pleased with this addition to the Bladerunner X2. And I definitely recommend it! It's actually quite unfortunate that this accessory isn't included with the original purchase of the X2.Anyhow, the sled helps overall cutting performance tremendously! Seriously. This is why I believe it not being included with the X2 is unfortunate. Trying to cut a straight line is possible on the X2... Extremely difficult... But possible. But with the sled it becomes a non issue. Straight lines with every cut. SERIOUSLY.If you own an X2 and you haven't given up using it due to the frustration when cutting straight lines yet....lol Then this is a MUST. Shame on Rockwell for making their consumers have to buy this extra accessory if they want a quality cut! But it is what it is... Right?

Turns Bladerunner into Miniature Table Saw
This is a great addition to the Bladerunner, seems a bit costly for what it is, but it does the job very well. My sled came with a strange piece of molded plastic closing off the far end of the blade opening preventing placing the sled in the sliding/cutting position. This plastic cross piece, about 1/4" wide x 1/4" across can be seen (look carefully) in the ad photo at the center on the top end, but I didn't notice it until it arrived and it immediately became apparent this wasn't going to work with that plastic cross piece in place as the blade would have to be removed to place the sled on the saw, but then the blade could not be re-installed because it was covered by the sled itself, a strange conundrum!...The solution was to simply use a shop knife and carefully cut out the connecting cross piece of plastic next to each side, I shot a photo with a pointer stick showing where the plastic crosspiece was removed, it took about 2 minutes....just make several cuts each side until cut through the plastic (the plastic isn't very thick). Bottom line: You will want this sled accessory for your BladeRunner, you won't regret having it!

Flimsy and probably would not support accurate cuts
Please understand that I did not use this item for what it was designed and sold for because I purchased it thinking it would extend the saw table a little. It did not. I did try it on the saw table and it seemed to be too flimsey to push material into and past the saw blade with any accuracy, but please remember that I did not try it. I am 78 years old and believe I know flimsy when I hold it. Sorry Rockwell.

Fails to improve accuracy
It's meant to improve crosscutting. However, it doesn't work any better than just using the included miter gauge. It still has lots of slop from side to side and won't cut even close to a 90' angle. I tried pushing it to one side or things like that, but when you combine a jigsaw with slop it just isn't worth having. I might point out just to share that I do like the Bladerunner itself. It doesn't do anything perfectly but it's a great utility player in my shop--it can do a little of everything. But the sled has not increased what I can do at all.
