Best option for organization and efficiency
I have had many different types of tool storage for my truck (from custom build boxes to modular storage systems) and this box is without a doubt the most functional and efficient to use. It is the most compact option that fits all my tools with everything being easy to grab. I think the price is fairly reasonable for what all it fits compared to other systems that would store the same amount. The quality is great. I read a review saying these boxes have gone down hill in quality but it seems to be built the same as one I've had for 6 years. To Montezuma directly, I would love to see a gloss black finish in the future. This is a non biased review, I am a normal blue-collar guy that uses my stuff the way its intend. This box holds up. For reference, these are the tools I can fit neatly in my box with PLENTY of room to spare: wrench set, stubby wrench set, ratchet wrench set, x4 adjustable wrenches, x4 pry bars, x2 hammers, punches, x2 bar clamps, torpedo level, plier set, vise grip set, 1/2 drive deep socket set SAE and MM, and SAE shallow, 3/8 deep and shallow socket set SAE and MM, 1/4 deep and shallow socket set SAE and MM, x2 of each drive socket wrenches, 3/8 breaker bar, full socket extension and adapter set, full Allen and torq socket set, full screwdriver set, pick set, Dewalt Atomic drill, impact, grinder, sawzall, 1/2 drive impact, flashlight, x4 batteries and charger, x3 sets/boxes of drill/impact bits, grinding disc, and sawzall blades.

Great Product!
Montezuma ME300B Portable Toolbox, 30”x15”, Black Summary - Montezuma has built a stand-alone toolbox for the hard worker needing tools wherever he may go. The toolbox offers a wide variety of options such as color, size and metal type. The different sizes offer a wide range of storage capacity and can help you determine the type of toolbox needed for your job. I have listed the positives and negatives of the toolbox for anyone who may be interested in the Montezuma Toolbox’s. Positives - This toolbox stands alone when it comes to quality. For example, the welds are not spot welds and it all holds together very well. As a farmer, this toolbox gets it fair share of abuse. My boss and his brother both have these toolboxes, which led me to purchase one as well. My boss has the 30x15” aluminum toolbox, and his brother has the 36x17” steel box. Both of which are superior to anything else out there. If you find anything like these, I suggest not buying them until you look at or see the Montezuma first. Everything you put in here will stay in place because the lid closes tightly against the sockets or drawers. The handles to pick this box up are heavily attached to the box; so much so that we ratchet them to our truck bed tie-downs to keep it from sliding around in the bed. The lid has the air assisted arm to easily unlatch for easy access. Negatives - This toolbox is heavy and not just when it’s full; the steel box is heavy from the get-go. When I first got this box, I lifted it in to my bed and was shocked at how heavy it was. I didn’t buy the aluminum model because I didn’t feel the extra price was worth it. The handles sit more towards the back of the box and when you lift it, it tilts forwards due to the weight on the front side. With all the tools inside, and the price of the box alone, the security of this box is worrisome. Overall Rating - 4.5/5 stars. This toolbox is beyond anything I thought it would be. It’s so handy to have all the tools you could need on the side of the road, in the middle of the field or out in the pasture. The pros outweigh the cons by far and I believe that these toolboxes are expensive, but only because the quality is what you are paying for. Great product by far, Montezuma!

One Great Tool Chest
I have wanted one of these boxes for a while now and finally I have one. However instead of mounting it to the bed of my work truck I built an angle iron base frame with rollers so I could roll it to the back of the flat bed when I need it. And roll it up to the back of the cab when done. Two locking hasps keep it secured to the back of the cab when not in use and keep it from growing legs when no one's looking. One really nice feature of this box is that all of the sockets, wrenches, screw drivers are securely held in place when the lid of the tool chest is closed. This keeps my tools from wandering around the inside of the box while I'm driving around the ranch. Another nice feature of this style tool box is that every tool is visible and within easy reach, no more hard to open drawers to dig through, no more hidden tools rusting on the bottom of that old box. And the powder coat paint all but eliminates scratched and chipped paint. This tool box is built extra heavy duty, with thick metal and no cheesy spot welds. Great construction, made in America, just like in the good ole days. My only regret is that I waited so long to buy one. I highly recommend this tool box to the serious minded mechanic or farm hand who needs a good solid reliable tool box or road chest. Well worth the money!

Easy to reach my tools
Absolutely great toolbox, my pickup is tall enough that it makes it hard for me to reach into my crossover toolbox and since I bought this box I leave it in the box near the tailgate. It's easy to reach everything I carry, the only thing I would do differently would be to buy a 30" instead of the 36" box. More space than I need.

Pretty decent
Pretty cool concept. Keeps a limited amount of tools fairly organized. I like how you can see everything at a glance. Socket placement could be better as some pegs can’t be used with sockets side by side and hanging holes for screwdrivers are poorly placed. The handles of screwdrivers sit too high so the lid can’t be shut. Otherwise it’s a fairy well built box and is good for truck bed.
