i do love the pole, but the bottom end cap is not held on tight. to my misfortune it fell off my very first cast, bounced on the dock, straight down into the deep black water. what luck? the company stands by their product, and should be making good. hopefully, with a new rubber cap arriving, that i'll glue on (as i don't ever need to have it off) . it's a beautiful pole. i recommend.i've repurchased again and again. i now how 6 setups with these. . . 3 piece, so super compact, super strong for catching anything. just the perfect pole to have on a boat

This pole looks and feels great! Exactly what I wanted/needed and as described! I can't wait to use this pole this summer and the short length is so convenient! Great buy and would recommend to anyone who wants a good short travel pole yet strong enough to not break when you encounter a bigger fish than expected in a unfamiliar location ! No concerns now - glad I bought it and stiff lines to all!

If you're looking for a fishing rod that can be packed in a suitcase and is affordable, this one is for you! I was very pleased with the quality of this rod and while I haven't used it yet, it is made with sturdy materials and is very lightweight. I'm anxious to put it to the test next week when I'll be doing some deep sea fishing in Mexico. At this point, I can't find anything that would cause me to be concerned about this rod.

Took this rod to Costa Rica with me and it did a great job against many different sized fish. The only reason I dropped review to a four star is because the tip came off the 6th time I went to use it. Thread looks like it wasn't wrapped tightly before epoxy and of course finding a replacement tip to match is impossible because of it not being a name brand.Aside from the tip setback, great boat rod or golf rod for traveling.

The big guides are good ,and compact size are easy to bring anywhere

The two sections did not easily fit together and the case came ripped where the largest rod section would fall out. Rod also heavier than I imagined. Poor quality I returned it. Amazon has an awesome, easy return policy.

bought two of these rods for week long sailing charter in the windward islands. Was able to troll during the day while sailing using my spinning reels and bottom fish at night while at anchor. the best part was it fit in my gear bag with my fins and snorkel so travel was easier. These are firm rods with stiff action but for the price an excellent value. Also bought 2 clamp on rod holders to go on sailboat railing.

I guess the price says it all, the top section fits in ok, and the bottom is very hard to do. I am traveling so did no force the bottom section on. I have a feeling, once I do it is never coming apart. My bad, I should have shopped better, as this is a one way trip rod.

Under pressure from heavy fish the rod snapped. So beware, this may not be for you. See photo posted. The tip piece broke.Edit. I called Amazon. They said the seller would contact me that was two weeks agoSo bad customer service In addition to faulty product and unable to find replacement for the tip portion.Buyer beware.
