Good replacement.
I ordered this to replace the previous one that is on a portable goal. I was able to remove the old one and replace it with this one. Maybe some slight modifications but not too bad.

Will not attach to 4in square post
The backstop is nice however the included hardware does not attach to a 4in square post. Since I cant attach it to the post its now just a decoration on the floor in my garage.

Good price
I purchased this acrylic 52” board on Amazon. Best price I found and added the fixed bracket for $35. Very nice installed. Pretty sturdy over an adjustable. Adjustable can stick out over 3 feet. I reviewed the bracket for installation that could be helpful to some.

The third one I’ve had to buy.
I bought a Spalding complete backboard and weighted base about five years ago. I get two years out of a backboard before it starts to crack and fall apart. Spalding really needs to make these things more outdoor resilient.

Excellent conversion kit!!!
I needed a replacement backboard and hoop for a Huffy adjustable, in-ground, 4" square pole system that I installed 20 years ago. The Spalding conversion kit worked perfectly and required only basic skills, strength, and intelligence to install. I was relieved, impressed, and grateful!!!

Overall good but has a key design error
Overall works well. Pretty easy to assemble. Two key errors in the design and/or instructions. 1) instructions say 2 people can hang the backboard. No way for a roof installation. The adjusting spring is so tight need one person just to be able to set is properly. 2) The supposed stabilizer bars are not properly angled to add any stability to the assembly when doing a roof install. Luckily there was an extra hole in the main upright that could be used with 2x4ft guy wires attached with appropriate sized bolt, nut, washers set up. This really is a problem.. a backboard should not wobble when a shot is taken.
