Sloan Electronic Commercial Faucet

It works as advertised and we received it in one day which was a blessing as the plumber was leaving for a week the next day.

These Sloan electronic faucets have been around for years. I have always liked installing these...easy to follow instructions, easy to adjust the "eye range", and the "reach" of the faucet is long enough to allow one to wash hands without cracking their knuckles on the sink. Don't forget a drain to use with this faucet, most people use a "grid" drain. There is no provision with this faucet for a pop-up style drain to be used (no hole for the rod to go through). The tamper-proof aerator conserves water also, potentially saving money on energy to heat the water.

Commercial quality, installs easily and works flawlessly. I added a thermostatic mixing valve to give us consistent warm water as this unit doesn't have a hot/cold knob. Sensitivity is perfect right out of the box, but you can adjust it if needed.

I’m not the target market for this faucet. I have a first floor half bath (two-piece bath in Canada or a W.C. In the British Isles) and two boys who love to play in the water. With this faucet, I set the timeout to 70 seconds, so if one of them manages to keep it activated for that long, only about 0.60 gallons (2.5 L) of water will have been used. I also added a mechanical thermostatic vale to prevent scalding. There are no knobs, stems, valves, or turny bits for dirty or sticky hands to besmirch. Short of taking a hammer to the faucet, it is indestructible and immune to gunk.
