I have 2 working systems using 2 y&h 1400w inverters
First one has been in fulltime use for 4 years this is driven by 2x 435w solar wired in parallel at 40v. Second one one in fulltime use on a second system same solar and for 2 years. Both have worked perfectly. I did add 12v computer fans on each for Summer cooling.G4PEY

Christ, the fan is loud
Works fine - (although I'm sure the of the inputs is inverse).Major drawback is the loudness of the fan. If you're building a solar shed (as I have done), don't cite it near your work area.

Didn't work on first testing, but after changing fuse, but it failed in a year.
When I first tried this item, it seemed to be faulty, and I planned to return it. However the item has to be returned to China, even though it was shipped from the UK.The return postage was going to cost 15% of the item value to return the item back to China. So I'm far from impressed with the return process on this item. Amazon should make it clear at the time of purchase, that a faulty unit will need returning to China. So not wanting to waste money on returning it, I decided to check everything carefully.I found that the mains fuse in the plug was faulty, not blown, when opening there was no evidence of any fuse wire ever being in the 13A fuse.So I replaced the fuse with a much more suitable 3 amp fuse, low and behold the unit sprang into life.On testing I find it works ok, but not super efficient (maybe 80%), which is to be expected on such a budget unit. The most annoying thing is it pulls the panel voltage lower than the Vmp, which means more current has to flow, which is the likely cause for the low efficiency. Also I find it hunts quite a lot, while trying to achieve the MPP, which it will struggle to find, if it pulls the Vmp low all the time.Other than this, it seems to work reasonably well.Edit.The unit has failed completely after just over 1 year.Best avoided in my opinion.I've changed my rating to 1 star as the unit isn't particularly efficient, return process is unacceptable, and the durability is pathetic.

Second one failed again after one day, returned again
Have contacted the seller they said my panels were ok within spec for this and it works for a day then overnight seems to fail not sure why, I have 2 panels 375w each connected in parallel. I had a 1000w one that worked fine with just one panel, it should be able to take at least 3 panels but doesn't, Just won't light up the red or green light. But the blue light comes on so is still connected to the AC. the fuses are all ok.Finally figured out it doesn’t like using splitter cable with two panels connect to a splitter cable then into the inverter as parallel, not sure why but it caused problem above, so new one works ok now

Value for money
Amazing I have fitted this inverter last night and on 3 panels at 350w each I have produced almost 6 kw in 10 hours and there is still 5 hours of sun… worth every penny. I could run more sola panels but why make it work to hard. I have lots of ventilation as they can produce a bit of heat… the max it reached at the hottest part of the day was almost 900w
