I've owned a few receivers in my days and they all had this exact microphone and every time I upgraded the receiver that microphone got sold with the old one however I moved across the country and misplaced this microphone and was happy to see that this one was priced about 60% cheaper than the others but with a little bit more wait time and I used it and it worked well in my 5.1 system with small Bose satellites and a 10-in poke subwoofer now sounds great!

Didn’t use it but they work great

Absolutely straightforward use plug-in play the receiver gives you instructions it helps to have the handbook or the manual to the receiver however to clarify some of the more specific details of the process. I was impressed at the capability this seemingly very inexpensive plastic microphone was at effectively analyzing my 7.1 surround system. Accomplishing in a half an hour what I could not accomplish over the period of several months during several different attempts at balancing an equalizing sound levels by my hand in here. I did need to adjust the balance due to partial hearing loss in one ear. But this microphone made the entire process so easy I would never attempt adjusting everything on my own again lol!

Works great but be prepared to tape it or weigh it down because the attached cable makes it go all over the place.

I need a replacement after two of my mics died. I had one from my old Marantz 7705 and my latest upgrade AV10, both came with the same model # Mic...I was curious to why they were dying...then figured it out. Here's a tip, discharge yourself on a grounded metal surface before plugging in the mic...I noticed a static shock when I plugged in the Mic both times before I noticed the Mics did not work. Marantz is sending me another mic also, but they are on back order, so thanks to them for taking care of their customers. I just purchased the B&W 805D4s, so and moved some speakers around so needed to to a recalibration so needed the Mic asap.

So I think it worked i used it then it sounded like crap so I switched it to manual rather than Audesy and it sounded incredibly good but before I did the calibration and I tried it on the manual mode it sucked so idk what happed but my speakers sound incredible right now but they are known to need break in of like 2 or 3 weeks and if people don't believe in break in then idk what it is bc when I first got these speakers I almost returned them because they literally sucked there was no vocals the highs were to loud and muddy and the lows didn't extend very low after like 2 months with them its hard to listen to anything else lol so they definitely needed break in but if the microphone worked it worked wonders if it was just the speakers that broke in then the mic is not great or at least for me ill give it 5 stars just because there's definitely some errors I made and things I didn't understand and its not fair to the brand to knock it just because of my lack of knowledge

I recently discovered that the original microphone that came with sr7005 did not work any more. I bought this replacement microphone and I am glad that it worked without any issues.
