Simple and easy to use.
What a good product. One ball at a time so no waste. Sparrows are all over them taking their time to eat but the pigeons are non stop eating. The only good thing about that is that they dont chase the sparrows away and are happy to pickup the crumbs off the floor. Now purchased a second set and using the RSPB fat balls in them.

Modern fat ball holder
These fat ball holders are shiny, really solid steel coiled spring type style, they really look the part, the birds seem ok with them, I purchased some super fat balls to go in them that are so popular and that is the only down side, they need filling up quite quickly as they only hold one each. On the plus side there is 8 in a pack , so it allows you to place them around the garden and rather than the birds all scrambling to get in one spot they can have a feeder each, which seems to get them to stay longer, not being disturbed by other birds. I also think because the are small, it allows me to place them out of the reach of cats more, ie away from fences or easy access places. They look very nice indeed. The hanger part is quite wide so fits on a variety of hanging places. I am getting the tiny wrens on the ones placed in quiet area's, i think normally they are out off by the bigger birds on the larger feeders. Great buy.

Ideal for little birds
Good sturdy container. Bought to encourage the smaller birds and deter the bigger ones. Located on a tree which I can view from the kitchen window. It took a while for the birds to use but now a delight to watch.

Well made
Well made but birds won't use it , it's been up a week and they haven't touched it until I hooked it to one side to encourage them to use it. Perhaps it will get more use when the weather gets cold

Good value solid item.
This is a lovely piece of work and the birds took to it as soon as it was hung. It arrived next day in top condition. It's solid and also easy to fill. The small birds have no problems hanging upside down on it and eating the flavoured fat slap we put inside it. I honestly thought the wild birds would be nervous of it at first as it's a fair size and a different shape to the other feeders but that hasn't happened. We bought this to hold fat for the smaller birds because the bigger birds like Jackdaws were going through fat balls and fat slabs faster than we could fill the containers. The smaller birds weren't having a look in. I've noticed that the jackdaws are really struggling to feed upside down from it, so it's doing it's job well! So, all is good in our garden lol! Please don't think we are mean towards jackdaws because we know they need food too, but they can still eat the fat balls hanging in a different container in a different part of the garden. Would recommend to anyone who has a similar problem to us.

Easy to use
Have three of these hangers in my garden. I hang them in a tree next to branches and the blackbirds love them whereas they wouldn’t be able to use a “normal” fatball holder. The smaller birds can perch on them. They are easy to refill. The last smaller pieces do fall out but the bigger birds soon clean that up! Would definitely recommend so far. Having only had colder weather while been using them not sure what they will be like in the warmer weather - whether the metal will heat up so encouraging the fatball to melt or whether it will get too hot for the birds to cling to it.
