Haven't found any fault so far
So far I've mainly used the device to test bipolar transistors, small capacitors and an occasional resistor. In each case the test functions and as far as I can tell the results are accurate. It all seems remarkable for such a low price. I hope that I can find some longer test leads with better grippers.

Must-have for the project bench
The clamping test connector on this device is a great advance in ease of connecting a component. Just drop in any resistor or capacitor (or other supported component), flip the clamp latch, and press the analyze button. Within seconds, you get a clear measurement display that's accurate enough to easily identify component values. No more two-handed struggle to pin resistors down with slippery test leads. No messing with alligator clips. No more reading color bands or number codes. When it comes to parts identification, leave your multimeter alone and enjoy a quicker, easier, better tool for the job. This tester is now always within reach on my electronics bench to validate components, check polarity, identify and organize.

Good enough for a hobbyist and worth the price
If you build electronics professionally you already know you don't need this tool. If you tinker around and make small projects or perform repairs, this little device is very much worth it.The build quality is fine, it's not robust by any means, but it doesn't feel like you got it from a gumball machine either. The directions are Google translated but using it is pretty self explanatory. It has slots to insert standard sized components and some pretty cheap but standard remote probes for bigger parts.I am actually surprised how accurate it is. I have tried NPNs, PNPs, mosfets, capacitors, diodes, resistors, and a few zener diodes of known values. Out of everything I only had one reading that was "incorrect enough" to cause a problem if I had been looking to ID and replace the component. That failure was a mosfet and the device returned "diode" about half the time and "resistor" the other times. The values it provided were actually close to some of the properties of the part, it seems something about that specific part number didn't "map" or identify like the other mosfets I tried. I did test several different ones of the same specs, all otherwise known to be working, and the same problem occured. Aside from that one specific mosfet, it's accurate enough that I have been able to replace components based off of the information it provides. I use the device for identification of older 1980s components that need to be replaced with equivalent ones, and it has worked fine.Tldr; not professional grade (obviously), but useful and worth the money to a casual electronics hobbyist.

Great tester.
This is my first tester. My washing machine stopped working. I was able to pull off resisters, capacitors and inductors and test them. I replaced the bad capacitor and the washing machine is working again. The new board for the washing machine was $100, so this tester was a great value. It saved my washing machine control board.

ummm ok.
bought this in April, opened it up charged it, and tested it, all good. I put it in my toolbox. when I needed it a couple weeks ago, it powered on for a few min, then went blank. charged it again, and nothing now. what a waste of money

Super useful
I highly recommend this for anyone working with electronic components. Will identify and test almost anything you plug in, in just a few seconds. All kinds of extras in this package, including ir decoder#####Make sure to discharge capacitors!!!

Color display, fast
I have two earlier generations of this instrument, but this one beats them both. First, the display. Color really adds something to it, it is adequately bright and extremely crisp. Second, the CPU ( whatever it is ). It's fast. Easily 5-10 times faster than the older ones. Third - the ZIF socket is captured in the case, held with screws, and does not rock back & forth. This little guy has earned a permanent place on my test bench.

works okay. bizarre form factor
Works okay. No protection on the inputs so be extremely careful. Given the price, I think it's okay. Just remember to short/discharge the capacitors before connecting them to this thing every single time. eevblog is full of people posting with hopes of repairing theirs after blowing up the input with a charged capacitor.
