Aveeno Itchy Scalp Soothing & Clarifying Shampoo with Apple Cider Vinegar for Greasy Hair 354ml

I bought this shampoo recently from amazon, i have fine curly hair, high porosity, i have used it for clarifying my hair, usually my scalp itches from the second day after washing it with other shampoos, but i already have 3 days and my scalp is fine. The only thing i would recommend is using a hidrating mask afterwards, my hair is slightly frizzy and feels dry because i used a high protein mask after, so i should do clarifying combined with a hidrating mask instead, otherwise i am very pleased with the product. The price is good as well compared with other brands, it is much easier for me to use a shampoo rather than mixing water with apple cider vinegar. The scent is neutral, much better than the traditional water and vinegar mix.

Lots of mixed reviews but I'm finding this shampoo fab! I have always had greasy hair and if I wash before bed I can't get away with wearing my hair down the next day. With this shampoo I can! I wish I got 2x days but its definitely an improvement on any other shampoo I've tried, and I've tried ALOT! Keeps my hair nice and soft, easy to straighten and I do really like the scent.

Used maybe 80% of their shampooI like This one and rose water ( blue ) the bestDecent price and good quality, the only trusted drug store available shampoo brand ( thick, dry, color hair London based )At least scalp is not itchy and this vinegar one is great in summer time here - less oily and feel fresh, ofc those £15+ brands ones are nicer but I am not unhappy with the quality of this brand ( usually £5.99 in drug store, big discount £4.5 ish )

As a curly girl ambassador (for the most part) I was looking for an affordable, sulphate and silicone free clarifying shampoo. So of course when I saw this I couldn’t believe my luck!A clarifying shampoo with apple cider vinegar and from a highly recommended brand that works real wonders for skin.The scent is inoffensive, it lathers well, and was able to easily wash out a DIY olive oil and tea tree scalp treatment from my roots in one wash. As shampoo goes it does what it does and works well.However, for those curly girls amongst you, I foolishly was taken in by this shampoo before properly checking out the ingredients…it is sulphate free, no drying alcohols and CG approved cleansers…but it does contain silicones, a dreaded ingredient for many curly girls. Now the silicones included are water soluble and are reasonably low down on the list of ingredients so I would make an educated guess that they’re not used in high volume. But one thing you don’t want from a clarifying shampoo is silicones, because amongst build up of other products and general scalp health, you want your clarifying shampoo to remove possible silicone or silicone imitating ingredients from your hair not add them back in!Silicones aren’t all and, used as a sealant in your styling products creates a protective coating over the hair shaft helping with heat damage and environmental factors. But as a clarifying shampoo is generally used as a first wash to melt away all the build up in your hair, it seemed rather counter productive that this product claims to clarify yet it contains silicones. So whatever product you apply following this shampoo will not properly penetrate the hair shaft as it has a layer of silicones covering them.However, if you were to use this product as a stand alone treatment once every month or two, and add no other product to your hair, and then re-wash your hair the next day with all the moisturising or proteinising nutrients you need, you can be assured that these silicones will wash out simply with water.So to sum up, this product may work as a clarifying shampoo, and as the ingredients in general are not harsh and a lot natural derived, the only way I feel I can trulyuse this product for the task of clarifying would be to use it alone, allow my hair to dry and then the next day wash out the water soluble silicones and then use my usual moisturising shampoos, treatments and leave ins.Aveeno, please take out the water soluble silicones and this product would become a staple product for many a curly girl.

I chose this shampoo as an advertised remedy for a greasy scalp condition. My initial reaction is that it is successful and though costly, I am pleased..

I love how it smells! So refreshing that I look forward to washing my hair! It keeps my zit prone scalp clean and feeling healthy. It also foams up lots. I love this product. Will continue using it esp with our hard water in lobdon
