Worked like a charm.
I bought these with the intent of blocking sunlight from landing directly on some collectibles I have, and they've worked like a charm for that purpose. They're easy to cut to the right size, and they block all light that hits them with no issues. I have no complaints and if I need a product like this in the future, I'd definitely repurchase.

Game changer!
Roller shades are not cheap but they lack one key feature when it comes to blacking out light, the sides! These are AMAZING!! 100% recommend makes the our bedroom at night super dark! And in the mornings it has been a game changer! The adhesion isn’t amazing, but they serve the purpose l. Looks great! As far as cutting I would recommend buying tin cutting scissors if you don’t have them, get them you will need them!

Screw it in, or your wall will be bare from the tape
The sticky stuff is useless no matter what brand you use. I ended up screwing it in and it does do some light blocking but I want to give it 3.6 stars. It’s good quality but that means it’s heavier than the tape can do. Which it just falls off your wall in the middle of the night. Creepy. After screwing in, no issues. Just use a little wall putty after before you move.

Total fail, from instructions to damaging paint
We have blackout shades in our bedroom, but the sun still slips around on the edges, so I was very excited to find this as a potential solution. Unfortunately, this was a total fail from start to finish. - There are no instructions, so I had to rely on Amazon photos and reviews to guess where on the window frame to attach this (i.e. in front of the shade or behind it). - One of the pieces would not lay flat against the window frame and started started curling up on the end within seconds. When I pulled it up a bit to try again, it tore the paint off the wall. - Worst of all: It didn't actually block the light. If I was looking straight on at the window, it helped a little. If I stepped to either side just a few feet, I could still see the light creeping around it. I tried placing it in front of the shade AND behind. Maybe if your bed is directly across from the window, it would help — but if you're looking from an angle at all, it didn't help.

Works well
Given the mixed reviews I was skeptical but this does exactly what I expected. Good at blocking light on sides. Took one star off because they were not as easy to cut as some led me to believe and a little pricey given the material. Took another star off because it fell off within 3 hours of mounting… will find another way to attach it. Could not use scissors and had to use a small hack saw.

Perfect product
Exactly what I wanted. This item blocks out the light on the side for a completely black room with the blackout shades. Highly recommend.

Tips for cutting
I looked up how to cut PVC since most people said scissors were either extremely difficult or their scissor broke when cutting. So I used a mini electric circular saw and it cut through it very easily, though a little sloppy for a couple of them, but that was user error. I had my blade too close to the PVC when I started the saw up and it shattered a corner off. On another one I wasn’t confident if I was on the line, so the cut wavered a little. It’s very hard to cut something this small with my mini saw. So on the last one, I used a box cutter to trim the jagged piece off, and it worked really well. Definitely needed some pressure, and I went slow on the angled part of PVC and rocked the blade, and it cut it perfectly. TLDR: I would recommend using a box cutter. Yes my saw worked quickly, but it was difficult to see what I was doing and get it right.
