Big bang for the buck!
You really can't beat this unit for ease of use, features, or sound quality. True, some of the effects aren't quite exactly like the vintage analog boxes they emulate, but it's surprising how close they actually get. And most of the dozens of effects you can choose from are stellar. The internal routing is well thought out as well, with copies of some effects showing up in other areas just in case you want your phaser in front of your distortion. Very cool and compact, I feel like I've only scratched the surface after a couple of weeks. I especially like how in "manual" mode, it's like having eight discrete pedals at once, with all the controls just where you'd expect them with ZERO menu diving!

Finally, an escape from the horror of menu-driven pedals
I love this thing. Truly. Every control is right there, easily adjusted, easily triggered on and off, and the memory preset saves remember everything. In manual mode, experimenting and/or tweaking is WAY easier than a menu-driven system. It runs on batteries or from a wall wart, so it's easily portable. It seems to be very quiet, the only thing I noticed is that when the compressor/expander is running at its highest gain, there is some noise, but it's unclear to me if that's coming from the pedal, or just the ambient noise from the instrument. In any case, it's an edge case and I don't consider it a serious issue. The quality of the effects are very high - that's key here. It's not just convenient, it makes great output. I've been playing electric rock and blues for 50 years as I write this, and this is easily the best f/x system I've used to date. Highly recommended.

Best Budget Boss Purchase
This is by far the best value of any Boss product I've seen or used as a guitar player of 5 or so years. You have no need for any pedals or even an amp with this multi-fx. I 100% recommend this to any players who need a stomp box setup and don't want to go all out on a custom pedal board. Great sound, through headphones or an amp, and very easy to set up. My only complaint is that activating the expression pedal is a little weird since there doesn't seem to be a button to click down (like on a crybaby wah) but in theory you would have it set up before a performance so this is no big deal.

Very versatile. Great sounding unit.
I've used a Boss GT3 for years. When it came time to replace it. Boss was the only option I considered. I picked up a Boss ME-80. Very versatile and user friendly processor. I play everything from light rock/country/instrumental to thrash/speed metal. The only drawback is that it doesn't come with a power cord. I understand and enjoy the flexibility of batteries but prefer to be plugged right in. The plug suggested on Amazon lasted about a month. Aside that. I love everything else about this unit and have recommended it to other guitarists in my circle.

Excellent multi-effects pedal
Extremely flexible. In Manual mode, you can program each pedal separately using the knobs (like you would on a discrete pedalboard) and make the perfect tone with ease. The awesome thing is that three of the pedals can be configured as delays, and they all melt together into a sea of ping-pong echoes. I don't even use the presets - it's way more fun to just dial in what I need. It's also convenient to use - throw the board and the AC adapter (not included - you'll want to buy it separately) into a bag and I'm ready to go. And it sounds amazing with both my MIM Stratocaster and Epiphone Les Paul Tribute going through a Fender Blues Jr. amp.

It's Alive!
After a few minor shipping issues and delays, it has arrived! And it arrived well packed, brand new and in excellent working order. The seller was very responsive and supportive of my shipping issues all was handled. I am very satisfied. Thank you sir or ma'am. It's alive! It's ALIVE! It only took 4 hours of reading manuals and downloading/installing software. But is now connected to my favorite DAW (digital audio workstation) and producing sound! Today is a success! I love Boss products. Not even close to the top of the line unit.. lol but good enough for me.

wow! love it
I just got this a couple of days ago so I haven't even scratched the service yet on its capabilities. The Boss ME 80 sounds great and I find it very easy to use. I have never owned a all in one effects pedal like this, I have always had separate stomp pedals. I was looking for something with knobs on it, guess I am old school. I am loving the sounds of most of the effects, the flanger is great (never owned one before) the wah wah is very good and the pedal is easy to turn on and off. I haven't played around with the memory function yet so I can't commit yet on it. I really am enjoying this piece effects pedal and recommend getting the carry bag too

well where do I start I was in 2 minds of either going the full pedal board route or multi effects a friend of mine has the GT1 for guitar and when I worked it out to get the effects in this separately would cost way more than this pedal, this pedal is an absolute steal for what you get, I can do all my live and home jam sets with this setting up patches is a breeze on the pc software haven't tinkered much with the buttons etc as I can easily modify etc through my laptop the amp emulators are excellent too, I tried my mates GT1 and fell in love with the possibilities of patches and since I have brought this I love it, only negatives for me is the power cable input and the usb to pc input are a little wiggly so if you yank them they may fail at some point and the tone central for bass compared to guitar is pretty pathetic guitar have loads of patches you can download but bass have 3 artists that have patches that are pretty much what's in the default patches where as guitar has more famous artists and songs patches already built, I build all my own and the tone exchange can be handy but not a lot of people se it I will upload a good few of my own soon on there for people to use, all in all this pedal can be end game it'll do pretty much most things you want to do and a lot cheaper than the helix and quad cortex etc., I'd recommend this to anyone new or professional its top notch, one downside is the tuner maxes at 445hz frequency and most top end tuners go to 455-460hz when you invest you kind of expect full frequency range on thew tuner.

A bit pricey but pretty impressive pedal! So many settings on it. Very polyvalent. However it takes a little time to get used to it and set the exact precise sound I want. I think this pedal is worth every cent I spent on it.
