This toner is magical for blending in wood repairs on walnut.

I've used this toner for years. Mohawk is my go to for quality wood finishes. It sprays wells and color tones just fine.

This stuff is the bomb diggity! It saved me so much prep work when refinishing my china cabinet. So easy to blend and match.

For years I relied on the "just buy an oil stain" method. Never again will I use a stain on a piece of furniture I actually care about. Don't waste your time with stains (both oil and water) if you want a beautiful, consistent finish. Mohawk toner finisher is especially helpful when there's multiple types of wood used on one project, since woods don't absorb stain evenly. The product is basically foolproof if you follow the instructions. I can't attest to how it works in warmer climates (e.g., high humidity), but I used it to refinish a Jens Risom lounge chair in 50-55 degree weather and the toner spread evenly and dried within minutes. Shake for at least a minute and shake in between coats. Use LIGHT coats, take your time and the finish will turn out beautifully.

i normally DIY my own toner with dewaxed shellac and wood dye however, i encountered a project of a vintage bedroom set that was made out of 3 different types of wood which required some extensive toner blending. i purchased this mohawk toner and it got the job done better than my own DIY toner. i will happily purchase this product again and would recommend it to any other furniture refinishers / wood workers / DIY’ers who may seem skeptical about infesting in this product, it IS worth it.
