Does this axe come with sheath, or do you need to purchase one separately?

Comes with a sheath/mask that covers the axe bit. Not a full coverage sheath, just covers the sharp edge.

Why is this camp carver listed as 17# when councils website clearly says 2#?

We're not sure what accounts for the discrepancy between the numbers. The website says 2# in the axe's title, but says 1.7# in the description and on the outside of the box as well. 1.7 refers to the weight of the axe head, which is 26 oz or 1.7 lbs.

What does the cutting edge measure ?

point to point 3 7/8”. Following the curve edge, almost 4”
