I used this to connect my stove fan vent to an extension out to the roof line. Other connections on other projects I've used were cumbersome trying to get the two pieces together. This connector was much simpler with it's corrugated edge design allowing it to be inserted into the vents easier. The corrugation creates a smaller flared edge insert. When fully inserted the vent hose interior match up to the connectors exterior. There's also a handy center seam used as a stop for both sides. A quick seal with aluminum vent tape and the job was done within a few minutes
