Cheesy or not, I LOVE this movie ....
I grew up on this stuff and whether it's bad acting, cheesy moves/dialogue or even the fact that the plot is almost the same as Saturday Night Fever, i still love it because for me, it's nostalgic! .....Of course Saturday Night Fever was my all time FAV, and always will be, This movie is still a great one in my book! ....Loved loved loved Cynthia Rhodes, she's so beautiful in this movie. I knew when i watched Dirty Dancing, that i knew her from somewhere! ....Thanks for the movie, I love it!! <3

Tony Goes To Manhattan
John looked good in the dance sequences. Kudos to editing. Cynthia Rhodes(Flashdance, Dirty Dancing come to mind) requires no smoke and mirrors since she IS a dancer-a good one. Finola played the little rich bitch prima donna well and again editing made her look good in the dance sequences. Definitely a fun movie in any dancers' collection. It isn't Bob Fosse, but it's "underdog makes good" in the dance world in Tony's life after Saturday Night Fever. It is what it is. Accept it as such and enjoy the music.

Great movie, John Travolta steals the show!
I clearly missed out for not watching this movie sooner, who knew John Travolta was such a good dancer, what a mesmerizing smile. I enjoyed the music, brought back memories. Now its time to watch Saturday Night Fever, I think I watched them in the wrong order but I also didn't know this was a sequel to to it but now I have John Travolta fever!

Love a solid follow up!
Excellent follow up sequel to Saturday Night Fever. Awesome to see a take on Tony's life, post SNF. Optimistic and realistic, while still being corny and the earliest example of a "dance drama" I've ever seen. I loved it!Meta-Note: I'm not sure Tony really deserves Jackie! She's such a sweetie!

Hot and Fun movie!
I love this movie. It's a pure 80s confection with hot dancing, vampy styles, and great music from The Bee Gees. It makes me wish I was a dancer!Lots of fun!

If you liked Saturday Night Fever...you'll love this sequel.
By the end, I was SO glad I watched this movie....and it brought back many good memories too! I must say...I thought John Travolta's girlfriend was a much better dancer than the lead dancer...especially when they were practicing for his lead, a casting mistake for sure. Also, WOW, Travolta's body was exceptional at the end performance.

Awesome!!!
Nostalgic! A great movie that is always fresh and we can watch it again and again. One of my favorite movies. Permanent preservation version The last scene is especially cool. I became a Travolta fan after watching the movie.

What moves this guy has!
It's easy to forget that John Travolta is a good dancer. Not a GREAT dancer, not a Baryshnikov, not a Michael Jackson, but a good dancer. Such a talented actor in the body of a sexy dancer - wow!I recently saw 'Get Shorty' and 'Be Cool,' both films adapted from Elmore Leonard novels, both starring Travolta. He is more handsome today than when 'Saturday Night Fever' and 'Staying Alive' allowed him to show his moves on the big screen. When John Travolta's character says he wants to strut, you want to watch him strut - because it is going to be good.'From Paris With Love' shows a different Travolta, not so slim - but still able to move with grace. I have to watch a John Travolta movie every now and then just to remind myself that you can put on some pounds and still move like a cat. Good to know. The choreography and the stage production make 'Staying Alive' look a bit dated today. Also, on the heels of 'Saturday Night Fever,' the movie is bound to suffer in comparison. Still, John Travolta seems timeless.

My most favourite film
I love this film, great songs and dancing such great energy. I recorded this film onto VHS tape when it was on tv years ago, but it no longer shows well. This film is a true favourite of mine, well done sylvester stallone for making this, I prefer this much more than Saturday night fever. I'm really glad I now have this on dvd. Received with many thanks, speedy delivery considering where its dispatched from, fantastic service thank you. 🙏🏾

Staying alive
The dvd i bought was as good as new version it was ok but would not play towards the end kept pixalating which was annoying as i entended to give as a gift but watched to see that it was working ok and found out that it did not. I re-bought the cd this time a brand new version not a good as new version and it worked perfectly i should have just bought brand new from the start i learnt that lesson.

the good points end there
It is an interesting concept - a dance sequel to Saturday Night Fever directed by Sylvester Stallone. Unfortunately, the good points end there. Not a patch on the original. The dancing is much worse. The story is not that interesting. Good ending, though.

Loved it!
Ordered this as it is one my all time favourites. It was such a fantastic price I couldn't resist! Love the film and all the dancing and all the songs. Obviously the film is from a while ago, but still an absolutely good watch, if you like music and dancing.
