Takes Getting Used To - But Well Worth the Price!
People seem to fall into one of two camps on Fobus holsters - they like them a lot or don't care for them at all. I can only give my own experience with this holster for the 2" snubby. I already had leather or combination holsters for my larger semi-autos.These Israel-made holsters are custom formed thermoplastic, made over specific models of pistols or revolvers to provide a perfect 'second-skin' fit. Simple, affordable and they appear to be almost indestructible with normal use. The paddle style carries the snubby a bit high and fairly close to tbe body, although for concealed carry it would be necessary to wear a jacket or other loose fitting garment over it. The fit is totally secure. The gun will not come out unless the wearer wants it to.I should mention that I did NOT want the style with the rotating clip which supposedly allows for different positions on the belt. Those seem to have a few design features not to my liking.I wear mine with the paddle inside my pants, with my shirt between my skin and the holster. I DID add a strip of adhesive moleskin to cover the top rivets, just as a matter of personal preference. But I would not want ANY holster resting against my skin, no matter what material. To draw the revolver, the wearer must press it at a very slight angle outward while pulling up. It is very hard to describe the exact motion, but ten minutes of practice with an unloaded weapon will train the owner to find that angle without having to stop and think about it. There is a 'click' sound, and feel, when the revolver is properly placed into, or removed from, the holster. This is not made as a 'quick draw' holster, nor is it for fantasy actors or Rambo wannabes. It IS a very solid, very well fitted and very secure device to keep one's weapon at hand, and the price is designed for real-life people who may not have sixty to one hundred bucks to spend on a holster. A very good value.** UPDATE **Since writing the first review, I have added a couple of the larger Fobus holsters to take care of my 9mm and my 40. ( 40 caliber, not 40 ounce!) And everything about them is as perfect as the revolver version. The hold, or grip, on both autoloaders is secure, and as always, the Fobus holsters are Zen-like simplicity of form and function and seemingly impervious to hard wear, sweat, rain and dry, powdery dust. These things are great.

Big fan of fobus holsters.
This is the second holster I have got from them. Let me start of saying by no means I am a small person (6'3" 300lbs) so it is easy for me to hide my carry weapon. With the right shirt I can had my full size 9mm m&p and with my .38 special I can hide it very easy. Even without a back strap the gun is very secure. It may look pretty bulky but it sits very close to the body. I wish the .38 holster had a adjuster screw like the 9mm\40. It was a little to tight at first so I put a dress shock around the gun and put it in the holster for 2 days. It seemed to loosen it up just enough to allow for a smooth draw. I would buy this for all my guns but I don't carry them all. I hope to never have to truly put this holster to the test but it definitely makes me feel confident that I will be able to if I have to.

Better than leather
My first reaction to a plastic holster was skeptical at best, but after reading the reviews and seeing the price of leather, I decided to try a Fobus Paddle TA85. The holster is constructed of a hard molded plastic, but the paddle portion is flexible enough to conform to your hip. The paddle slides between your pants waistband and underwear; the paddle is backed with a soft rubber that "grips", and there are 2 "teeth" that clip over the pants waistband to prevent the paddle from sliding upwards on the draw. As the handgun is holstered, the plastic halves of the holster are designed to separate for the trigger guard, and the handgun snaps into place as the trigger guard reaches its molded resting place. At first, the handgun was hard to draw, and had to be pulled quickly and straight out, but then a trick was learned to "break in" the holster. Holster the handgun, but only to a point just before it snaps into place. Then, leave the handgun in this position overnight. The next day, the pistol will draw much more easily, but will still be retained safely in the holster. This holster is great for concealed carry, because the plastic has a thinner profile than leather. Also, the draw is much quicker than leather because the plastic is frictionless once the trigger guard snaps free. The TA85 is comfortable to wear when driving with a seatbelt, is maintenance free, indestructible, no belt loops, quick to draw, is more concealable, and costs much less than leather.

Fits my Taurus 605 Executive - retention is not adjustable
As others have noted, it was *very* tight at first -- for me -- to the point of being unusable. Since there is no adjustment for retention, I used a screwdriver to pry it apart at the pinch points and then lined it with a smidge of gun grease. It slides in and out now with the perfect amount of stickiness, so that it will not fall out and can be drawn by the shooter. Very convenient for use around the property when I don't want or need to go IWB.

Not good for my Taurus 605
I purchased this holster for my Taurus 605. It looked like exactly what I wanted, great size, strong material, it seemed useful. As some other sour reviews have expressed, it holds on to the revolver and won't let go. Drawing with one hand is impossible. Two-handed isn't possible until one removes the entire holster from their side and wrestles with it. In a life or death situation, this holster has NO place whatsoever. I will only use something I can trust, as any normal person would. A solution in the instructions was to spray silicone spray inside of it. Pass. Unfortunately I had to return it, but I was promptly reimbursed, even for the shipping.

great holster
was a little leary because of the reviews on how tight this holster grips your pistol. 1st off buy the correct holster for your pistol, learn how to release said pistol from holster, if it's still to tight heat with a hair dryer and spread it. This is a great holster and the only one I use when off duty. It's not a quick draw holster remember your not at the ok corral. holds my pistol high and snug a slight twist while drawing and it's out been using it for over a year and would recommend for everyday or professional use.
