AxxessMetra AX-CAM6V 12-Volt to 6-Volt Camera Stepdown

I had to replace the factory head unit in my 2016 subaru impreza that had a factory backup camera. I read online that the factory camera used a lower voltage compared to the output of the aftermarket head unit I planned to install. This item is deisgned to step down the 12v output of the aftermarket headunit to the appropriate volatge toso as to not overwork or damage the factory camera. this item is also used at some local install shops to acheive the same result. It worked great with my setup and install was easy if you follow the wiring directions correctly.

Didn’t work but it’s radio

Purchased this to retain functionality of my factory backup camera on my 2017 Subaru WRX Aftermarket Android headunit and it works perfectly. Even comes with instructions on which wires to solder together.

Easy to install. Used it for connecting OEM camera to aftermarket radio

This is a needed item to retain the OEM backup camera on a 2015 Mazda CX-5 when replacing the crappy Mazda Infotainment system with an aftermarket radio like the Pioneer AVH4200-NEX. It comes with pretty clear instructions and works as intended.

Doesn’t work with 2022 Honda Vezel

Works perfectly on my Camry SE 2014.5.But before hooking it up, check the output voltage with a multimeter just to make sure it sources out 6V.
