Q: Do they have holes? If so why? Does bread not get stale?

You keep the bread in its plastic bag but pull the open end inside-out over the edge of the container. You can then pull the plastic bag down over the outside of the container and it lifts the loaf to the top. The plastic bag is sealed between the container and the lid with a minimum amount of air inside.

Q: would this fit rye, pumpernickel bread?

These dispensers fit standard loaves of sandwich bread. They will not fit rye or pumpernickel.

Q: Will this hold Pepperidge farm farmhouse sized bread? Or just the smaller square loaves?

The bread buddy fits standard sandwich size loaves. I don't believe the brand you mentioned will fit.

Q: What are the holes for?

They let air in to prevent a vacuum when pulling the plastic bag up to get to the top of the loaf.

No good for UK bread!

This is useless for Uk bread size! The slices are bigger than the tub therefore they do not fit! Very disappointed! Why advertise in the uk when it’s not fit for purpose!

Not compatible with UK bread

This product is not clear in the fact that it is not compatible with standard UK loaf sizes. The cost is excessive for what it is, basically a different shape of tupperware

Not wide enough

Well I was excited to get these, unfortunately they are not wide enough to take a loaf of the average Australian bread. I had to squash the bread to fit it in.

Great Idea if you have small bread

I don't know if this is made for the USA or another country, but here in Australia, most of the loaves of bread that I have bought DO NOT fit it this container. Our bread is just too wide and big to fit in so I tried squishing it in but that just defeats the whole purpose of how this bread buddy works. It's a fabulous idea but you just have to find bread that will fit!!!
