First time CHI Straight Guard Smoothing Styling Cream uservand I'm very pleased.Easy to apply according to directions. My hair has been unruly , dry and wiry lately. I used this before drying my hair and my hair was noticeably softer, shinier, styled way more easily.Just work through damp hair, it adds hold and helps hold your style once dried. My hair felt soft and kept it's shape after using CHI.Very reasonably priced, good sized bottle will last a while. Now a loyal CHI Styling Cream user.

Reviews said a great smell but I detect no smell at all and I have a sensitive nose; however I wasn't liking the 'shade' it gave my platinum blonde hair (a bit too warm looking) but it does reduce frizz and my hair has remained 'straight and frizz free' after flat ironing it but it has no shine at all! Some mis-representation with their description! but I will keep this product.

I apply this after leave in conditioner when my hair is wet and let it air dry, and when dry my 2B-2C hair ends up having 3B spirals in it. As for heat styling, it makes my extremely frizzy hair so smooth and silky, and it even stays sleek for days after with little waves forming. Amazing product for either look I want to do.

Only leave in conditioner I will ever use! Helps tame my frizz. Doesn't leave my hair greasy or anything. Also it smells so good.

Reduce the freeze was for my colored hair. More smooth in styling hairs.

I have fine hair that becomes frizzy after I style it. I have tried many different things. From very high end to off the grocery store shelves. I found this CHI smoothing lotion works great for my hair. I love it.

I am old (76) and my colored, naturally curly hair is dry! This CHI product brings my hair back to lustrous, soft beauty. It’s not oily and it immediately soaks into lightly-damp or dry hair (not wet). It has a natural scent that is clean and fresh. To apply I pump about 1/2 tsp onto palm, and rub hands to spread thinly. Then I lightly smooth open hands over hair surface, from top to ends. To treat hair ends, dispense product then hold a section of hair at a time and gently rub hair between hands, back and forth, and moving downward. Repeat with very small amount of product on ends only if they still look or feel dry (or to touch up). This works great for ponytail days!As a bonus, when your hairdo is complete, give another little pump to your hands and rub CHI product thoroughly into hands, front and back, elbows and your neck! It’s moisturizing but never feels oily. Your skin will feel just as silky as your hair! As the old Brylcream jingle said, “a little dab will do ya” so don’t waste by pumping out too much. Or if you accidentally do, treat your knees too!PS Ask your grandma about Brylcream jingle. I told you I’m old.
