I'd been looking for a new viola case for a while and glad I found this one. For the price it's an awesome case. It's sturdy and has room for music in the zipper case attached. The case stands on end and has a handle on top and the side. I'm just in a community orchestra so it doesn't get banged around a whole lot but for my useage this is an awesome case. For a student or community orchestra member this case should protect your viola. I highly recommend it. You can't beat the price.

This is a great lightweight case. Sizing fits as described. It seems well-constructed and has nice cushioning inside. Although the shoulder rest doesn't fit inside, the large pocket on the exterior is adequate for carrying accessories and sheet music. Shoulder straps are well-secured and comfortable to wear.

The Protec MAX VIOLA CASE (16-16.15) is a good value. Zippers on instrument cases are often flimsy, the Protec's are sturdy and large. While the case is very light weight and provides more than acceptable protection, avoid checking it with general luggage when traveling. The exterior storage area is handy and the included backpack straps are convenient. The Protec Padded Backpack Strap accessory is not necessary and does not fit the case, do not purchase it. The Protec Violin Shoulder rest pouch is an inexpensive accessory with the same quality zipper and clips, we recommend it. We have used the case and pouch for one month.
