Arducam 4K 8MP IMX219 Autofocus USB Camera Module with Microphone, 1080P Mini UVC USB2.0 Webcam

This product has been fantastic for me. I do quite a few projects with raspberry pis and having a camera module with mic that’s usb is great. On top of it being usb, I don’t have to power down my pi to swap it to a different one or to disconnect it completely.The only complaint that I have about this product is the 4 pin connector that attaches to the module. It is a 4 pin to usb. My 4 pin connector broke and I sent arducam a email, to which they got me through replacing it with no trouble at all. I ended up messing up the 4 pin connector and having a unusable camera module, to which arducam then replaced the entire thing, with no extra charge & knowing it was completely my fault (I explained what I did to break it yes my fault).They value customers above all else and will walk you through any troubleshooting you could ever need. In case they are not able to provide you with a solution they will make a post on their forums asking the public and their engineers for guidance that we have access to so we can see updates on our issue as they come in and not waiting for a support email reply.Overall the product is great and even better is their customer support. If having any issues at all or just curious about their product please don’t be afraid to ask. They will help any and all!I will always choose arducam above any other company if possible.

This was impressive for its time, but new tech has far eclipsed it. I have a newer autofocus from ArduCam which is smaller and similar priced, and amazing quality for the cost. Much has improved ... just wish I knew the newer one (that we strongly recommend to those who follow our courses) was on its way. ArduCam is doing pretty darn well to give us the latest tech as soon as it is practical ... and for a good price>

This camera while it looks great for using in projects is quite the opposite. It can barely keep up with 15fps @ 1080p. It has to be the worst camera I have ever tried and would not recommend this to anyone. This camera was tested using Windows 10 64bit. The autofocus does work well but that is the best of this camera.

Camera seems to function fine though I haven't used it much yet. Note if you would like to use a different cable the connector to the camera board is JST ZH 1.5MM 4 Pin. I bought some pre-made JST ZH cables and then clipped one end and made a 4-pin mainboard header connector so I could connect it directly to my mainboard.

I ordered the camera extension cable https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07TYHKXS5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1for this camera. It is not compatible with this camera.Otherwise camera works great without the extension cable.
