Convenient for wet food and value for money
I purchased this automatic wet food feeder for my cat, and it’s been a great addition to our routine. The digital timer is very handy, making it easy to set up daily meals without any fuss. One of the key features I needed was a way to keep the food fresh, and the included ice pack does a decent job. During warmer weather, I wouldn’t leave the food out for more than 4 hours, but buying an extra set of ice packs to rotate has been really helpful. The tray is big enough to hold an 80g pouch and deep enough to prevent my cat from making a mess. I’ve placed mine on top of a rubber mat, which keeps it sturdy and ensures it doesn’t move around. The detachable food tray is easy to clean, which makes maintenance simple. My only suggestion for improvement would be a slightly slanted surface to make the food even more accessible for pets. Overall, for the price you pay, this feeder is an excellent option for cats on a wet food diet. Highly recommend for its convenience and thoughtful design!

Brilliant automatic cat feeder
I bought this as I was going to a wedding for the day and a friend had recommended getting an automatic feeder. My usual cat sitter was not available. I tried out the feeder a few times before the actual day it was needed and it worked perfectly (no pun intended!) As I was out the entire day, I set the two feeders at different times to ensure my cat had food all throughout the day. The timer was easy to use and it only needs one AA battery. I really liked the cooling block that slots easily underneath as it kept the food fresh all day. When I came home it had worked and my cat was happy and content. I would recommend buying an extra cooling block so you have one ready in the freezer ( which is what I did). Customer service from the company that supplied the product was excellent as I enquired about one of the parts as I thought one was missing (the white clip which sits next to the cooling block). It turns out that it is only meant to have one clip! I would highly recommend this product.

Good so far but wish it didn’t beep!
I have a Catmate 1 bowl automatic feeder and it saved me from the morning torture of the cat waking me up for wet breakfast for years. The windup ones sounds like an analogue clock, ticking away, but are reliable though it is possible for the cat to manipulate it to open earlier (my fat boy is really determined). I was sceptical about a digital version but all good so far. I got the 3 bowl digital feeder as an upgrade, set up for his first wet breakfast and second wet breakfast at 06:00 and 08:00 respectively. Then I have dry food for grazing in the other bowl. Easy to set up but it does beep at the set time which I don’t like (it is in my bedroom for the specific reason of the cat not waking me up for breakfasts). If I’m on light REM it can wake me up! But maybe I’ll get used to it…

Great value for money
This works really well, is easy to clean and my cat hasn't managed to claw it open. Set up is easy. Perfect for overnight trips away or days when we're working late.

Easy to use and reliable. A must have
Every cat owner needs one! I love its uncomplicated design that only requires 1 battery. I use it every night so my cats have a regular feeding schedule. It even worked well when I hired an unreliable catsitter as I didn't need to worry when she inevitably arrived at unpredictable times daily. The only thing I would say is I have no idea how to use the clip so both trays open at the same time.

OMG You Guys, It’s Like... Magic Food! 😻
Hi hi hiiiii! I’m Narla! I’m a cute little orange tabby princess (my hooman says so!) and I just had to tell you about my new favourite thing in the whole house - the Cat Mate C200 Automatic Pet Feeder. Or as I call it, The Magical Mealtime Machine! 🎉 Okay, so sometimes my hooman goes away for like... forever (he says it’s “two days,” but I don’t know how clocks work and it feels like A LIFETIME). I used to be left all alone with just the sofa, and a crunchy food bowl that got boring super fast, okay well there is the water fountain and the jungle garden with mousey snacks on demand! But now? GUESS WHAT? This amazing little spaceship thing gives me meals like clockwork! TWO of them! One for now, and one for later — it’s like a snacky surprise party that opens itself. I don’t even have to meow dramatically or nibble my hooman's foot to get attention! How it works (from a very smart cat’s perspective): It has these lid thingies that stay closed until - POP! - they flip open when the little spinny timer says it’s chow o’clock! There’s even a spot for a cold pack to keep my food all fresh and yummy. Fancy, huh? 🐾 Perks for a princess like me: • Breakfast and dinner when my hooman’s not here. • I don’t have to worry or panic or meow until I’m hoarse. • It’s super quiet so it doesn’t scare me when it opens - just a little click and tada, it’s CHOW TIME! Bonus? There’s even a spot for an ice pack underneath to keep the food fresh. I don’t fully understand refrigeration (I’m a cat, not a physicist), but I appreciate the commitment to quality cuisine. The only tiny problem is... I can’t open it early, even when I tap it, nudge it, or roll on it dramatically. Trust me, I’ve tried. BUT I guess that means I don’t accidentally eat both meals in one go (whoopsies...). Final verdict? If you’re a fancy feline who enjoys being pampered and well-fed (and I mean, who isn’t?), then you’ll LOVE the Cat Mate C200. It’s like having a tiny robot food butler who never forgets you - yes I'm talking to YOU hooman?! Now excuse me - I think I heard the click. DINNER!!! 🐟🎉 X🐾X, Narla the Cutie Kitty with a Full Furry Tummy.

Works but my cat's too clever!
So I've used this item previously for a couple of anxious cats who were nervous about the ticking clock sound and also of the sound when the lid lifted but ate everything so eventually got over their fear. During this time it was really easy to use, just turn the dial to how many hours earlier and it's good. I appreciated having the ice pack so I could keep wet food available for longer and that it was battery operated and a decent size to hold the food. I've now used it for a cat who is very food motivated and she could instantly smell the food in the tray. Pretty quickly she figured out how to turn the dial to zero and get into the food early without needing to bite or claw her way in haha. So a smart and food obsessed cat will be able to figure this one out! I'm moving to a digital timer next to see if it'll fare any better. So depending on your cat this would be good. I will say it is pretty lightweight so without connecting it to some heavy wood I think this would be pretty easy for a cat to flip over if they were desperate enough.

When it works, it's a brilliant gadget
Bought this for when we're away for the day; got the three-meal one ie one meal you put on the open dish, and two meals on the timer. I chose the digital timer version, a bit more expensive: as you can set a proper clock - 24 hours or 12 hours - rather than set periods of time between one meal and the next [that's too fiddly.] Cat was afraid the first time the bowl rotated - it makes a rather off-putting noise - but the second time she was fine with it. She tried breaking into it, but it's like Fort Knox! Dishes are ok, just about big enough but you wouldn't want to feed your cat all the time with these, it's tough on the whiskers! [yes, there is a thing called 'whisker fatigue' if a cat has to eat out of too-small bowl - irritates their sensitive whiskers.] However, whilst three tests worked fine, when we actually needed it today as we were out all day - the second meal didn't arrive - the bowl didn't rotate. Fortunately it did serve her the first meal. So it might be a good idea to set out a separate bowl of dry food, just in case. I don't think I'll use this a lot, as it's not totally reliable. The other problem is that the digital timer is the size of a watch face, and the numerals are really small and faint. You can't see them, once you've put the bowl down. So I've given the feeder a 4, but really it's a 3.5; useful but clearly not 100% reliable - but a good gadget when it works!
