The DC Book of Lists: A Multiverse of Legacies, Histories, and Hierarchies

Ridiculous, unnecessary -- WONDERFUL!
This book is an absolute riot!I can only imagine the obsessive note-taking, categorizing, and anal-retentive effort the author went through to create this ridiculous, unnecessary, and wonderful book.Digging its way through DC-comics history, its starts and restarts, the author lists the trivia that obsesses us fan-boys -- "Batman and Superman's First Meetings" (with all the crisis and reboots, they've "met" for the first time more than once), "Green Lanterns of Earth" (you can probably name five -- there are at least twice that number), "Apes of the DC Universe" (both normal and super), this sort of thing. It's been a sublime reading experience -- and I laugh at how much of it I already know, just never thought about much. I used to pride myself for knowing stupid stuff like all the Super-Pets -- that's all ruined for me now.If you love DC as much as I do, this is a great book to look through. It's a lot of laughs. Well done.

More than the title
Lifelong DC fan here. I was on the fence when first hearing about this book of... Lists? Definitely more than that though. There's an understanding and appreciation that makes this more than a novelty book of factoids for trivia buffs. The author displays a great insight into the DCU, with articles to inspire the reader to dig into those back issues while springboarding the imagination with the untapped potential of the DC Universe.

Impressively Thorough and Fun
For fans of any thread within the DC Multiverse, you will not be disappointed. This book is so thorough in its research and covers decades of DC storytelling. While very far from a textbook as every single page is rich with artwork and organized in a way that keeps you turning the pages. Some of my favorite sections are the evolution of the Batmobile, a list of prisoners in the Phantom Zone and all of the love interests of Harley Quinn.

Wow!! This is a must have!
This book is so fun and interesting! 2 DC fans have tried to steal it from me already. The amount of detail is incredible. As a novice in the world of comics, this has been a helpful tool into the ‘secret’ behind the scenes connections of all the worlds.

Great but flawed book.
This is a great book in concept, and I've loved reading 2 or three pages before bed. It's really flawed though- I've read DC since the 70's. I own tons of silver and golden age archives and omni's but there's no way I know all the references. I wish the book provided citations to where all the things in the list happened. Or even a website accompaniment, which I don't think exists. It's tantalizing with all the trivia and tidbits about stories I'd love to read (especially alongside my sub to DC Infinite Ultra Mega Plus (TM)). It mainly just leaves me thinking, "that's nice, wish I knew what story that happened in. . ."But I'd still buy it again.
