This has everything you need to use with your sous vide circulator. I'd bought other things I thought I'd need like rack separators, but I've never need them. For long cooks (24hrs+) I'll use a little bit of clingfilm to fill the gap between the silicone lid and the sous vide. It catches any vapour and returns it to the container. Never had to top up when doing this. Insulation works well so the sous vide doesn't need to work that hard to maintain temperature (see pic) Last Christmas I used it for our turkey. It fit ... just. Had to scoop out some water when adding the breast after 12h, but it all cooked just fine. If you're planning a lot of protein then you could possibly run out of space. Should fit up to 6x 2" Steaks. I'll often do 2Kg of beef chuck or pork shoulder with no problem. Tip. In hard water area drop in a tablespoon or two of citric acid once every few cooks during the last 30-60 minutes to descale the sous vide and clean up the inside of the container.

So u have only used it a couple times I've made steak and ribs so far. And it was a great up grade from a big pot. The pot works well when cooking steaks but if you wanna do long cooks it vary inconvenient because you have to keep filling it up due to water evaporation. I cooked ribs at 154 for 52 hours and never had to add water once I was able to go to work and go to sleep and not worry about my water evaporating and exposing my meat. And the rack has worked well so far ide give the rack a 6 out of ten. And the sleeve for the container was a plus I don't think it is necessary but im sure it helps. I gave it five starts because for the price you can not go wrong compared to other containers that will cost you a couple hundred dollars and don't come with a rack a sleeve ect.

As others have said (and I read before I bought it) it is smaller than expected, but it works the majority of my needs. It will hold several steaks, a couple of tri-tips, or even a whole chicken (haven't tried that one yet, but it would fit), so big enough to fit most needs. Didn't have a problem with the smell of the cover as other people have complained about. If you have a sous vide, this is a great dedicated cooking basin. The lid helps reduce evaporation for the long cooks, and the insulated cover helps keep things hot so you are using less electricity, and prevents damaging delicate surfaces from heat. Zero complaints!
