I cannot say enough great things about these headphones. For starters, their customer service is OUTSTANDING. I contacted them regarding some questions before purchase and needless to say they went above and beyond to help me get what was needed for my toddler. My son does breathing and vest treatments that are VERY loud. At two years old it is hard to keep him still for the 30+ minutes at a time he needs his treatments, multiple times a day. He enjoys his cartoons during that time on the iPad but because he couldn't hear, he was losing interest and treatments became a chore for all of us. Enter LilGadgets. He LOVES them! They fit him so well (he's small for two, but they adjust small enough to fit him and they stay on during his vest, which shakes pretty hard), but they adjust well enough to fit my husband and myself when we test the volume. As loud as his machines are (loud enough that we cannot turn the TV up enough to hear when they're on) he can hear just fine with these headphones, and the iPad isn't even maxed out on volume.The quality of the product is great. They stood up to toddler roughness well, up until a really unfortunate freak accident involving an activity cube. They still worked but near one of the ear pieces broke. We taped them using electrical tape with no issues, but because they didn't get as tight and his head is so little, they began to bother him. We didn't hesitate to buy another set. The quality is great, the colors are fun and the customer service is out of this world. These are our new "go to" gift for kiddos! (I had intended to post this review months ago, but somehow managed to...not. I don't know how, but thanks to Amazon it was saved. I want to update that I contacted customer service for some recent questions and-unsurprisingly- they blew me away again. I work in customer service and know that it isn't always easy to provide the insanely amazing level of service they do. Every. Single. Time. I'm weirdly obsessed with how great the service is, so much so that when I saw that I hadn't posted this review I stopped my Sunday to post it, as it is long over due. A HUGE thank you to Lil' Gadgets for everything they've done to help us out with the hardest part of our day!)

So like many others, the extender broke at about 3 months. I emailed support, and the awesome team there sent another set out to me, in less than a week. No hoops, no 'qualified' warranty nonsense. Just a confirmation of my original order number, and address! They even let me switch colors, since kiddo had a favorite color change. Sadly, the replacement broke in the exact same spot, about 3 months later, and so I emailed them again. Just as fast, I was offered a replacement, but this time as an upgrade to the set with the metal reinforced extenders. I'm starting to suspect the issue is that they might be just a tiny bit too small,and the extender plastic too brittle to put up with it, but that's the way my kiddo likes his headphones. He wants them to fit super tight on his head, and complains about other pairs that are 'too loose'. Now, my kid has gone through so many other pairs of headphones, usually for these reasons: Foam rips, tears or comes off and no amount of praying, incense and sacrificial offerings to the headphone gods ever gets them back on. Ever. The cord will fray and wear out either at the junction to the headphones, or kink then the coating splits, or at tear at the plug end, or the dang things just stop working. NONE of this has ever happened with the lilgadgets headphones. The padding hasn't come off once - this usually takes about a week with my kid. The cords are NICE. They well reinforced and they do not kink or tangle. Being able to pop the cable off to store it has been lovely, and sharing sound via the shareport built in with his cousin has been awesome. They sound decent for little kids headphones, and they are nicely limited - we've been through probably 7 or 8 different brands now, and not all are actually 'limited'. The padding at the top is nice, and the entire set wipes off nicely with a slightly damp rag and still looks brand new after. So despite the breakage, I'd definitely recommend these, just perhaps to maybe younger children or those with smaller heads, at least until they work out the plastic for the extenders. If it wasn't for the breakage there, I'd have zero problems with this headset. And their support team is absolutely awesome. If you have problems after purchasing, they will definitely do what they can to fix it.

These are the best headphones for children. They are sturdy, volume limited, and comfortable to wear. I bought two pairs of these three years ago for my kids and they have survived multiple plane trips across the country, road trips, camping trips, and the added stress of weekly exchanges between mom and dad's house. They get tossed in bags, left out in the cold, crushed by rock collections, and all kinds of other stressful circumstances. Three years later they are in great condition. So, naturally, when my daughter needed a pair to leave in her classroom I immediately bought the same model. In addition to being colorful and well-sized to fit little heads and ears, they have volume limitation to protect the kids from themselves. Another GREAT feature that isn't played up enough is the sharing aspect of this product. You can literally just plug another set of headphones into the far side of these headphones and share audio with a friend. this is really useful when one kid has a movie and the other doesn't, or if a friend is riding along and does not have a device. Just plug in the headphones to the other side of the set and away they go. It also helps if you have limited data and want two kids watching a movie together instead of streaming on your 4G cell phone hotspot separately. Altogether, great product. Trust me, we've tried our best to break them!

Below is the original review I did but have since increased rating as the company were very swift to honor their warranty and replace my broken set with their next range up which seems to have a more reinforced arm for the headphones so hopefully this issue won’t occur again. I leave rating as 3 for this particular product but recommend trying the + headphones instead Both of these units that we bought for our kids Xmas presents broke within 3 months - the plastic part that pulls down was too flimsy and snapped on both of them. Also, they were quite small and even my 4 year old found them small and they barely covered her ears so she found it hard to hear

I bought two pairs for my twin daughters at Christmas, after a couple of months, the extending plastic pieces that slide when you pull them out began to show significant wear, then broke on each set within a few weeks like the picture another reviewer posted. Other than the durability issue, these performed very well and I like the removable cord. Just disappointed the materials seem so fragile. Update: Shortly after posting this review, LilGadgets reached out to me. They informed me they have made product improvements and apologized for my experience. To my surprise they offered to replace both pairs, and within a week my little girls were enjoying them again. The plastic in the new models extension apparatus looks to be significantly more durable, and I don't expect issues going forward. What else can I say? It's increasingly rare that companies stand so strongly behind their products. I highly recommend these to other parents.
