Flat insert that works well with custom orthotics
At first I was disappointed that they sent me a box that had been obviously opened (see photos). I was going to send them back but after examining the inserts, I could see no evidence that they had been used so I decided to keep them. I have custom orthotic inserts that need to lay flat in the shoe bed in order for them to work properly. Unfortunately most insets that come with the shoe have built in arch support or thick curvature at the back of the shoe, which are beneficial to most folks but for me they are a hindrance for using my orthotics. In the past I've used Airpillow inserts, but they or way to soft and get chewed up by the orthotics. I needed something much more durable for an upcoming 200-mile through hike. These RUN 619 inserts are completely flat and are very study and look like they will hold up well with the orthotics. They are thicker than I anticipated but are about right for my shoes when I strip out the insert that came with the hiking shoes. Normally, I use 2 to 3 layers of Airpillow inserts, so this one layer of RUN619 inserts is about the same thickness. They are stiffer than I anticipated but yet comfortable at the same time. After a day of wearing them around the house, they molded to my feet and orthotics and felt very comfortable. I took them out for an 8-mile hike yesterday and they remained comfortable through the entire hike. I think I found what I've been searching for and will probably order a second pair for my other hiking boots.

Just what I was looking for
I love my zero drop shoes but they always have such thin soles. I needed a little more shock absorption when wearing them on the hard floors all day at work. I tried some other insoles that had a flat profile which helped but they were too soft and thin for what I need as a larger person. These are perfect. Nice and firm. They seem too hard at first but very comfortable once you start using them. First day I wore them I finally finished my day with no foot soreness.

Not bad but way too narrow and pricey
Edit 1/08/23: Upgraded to 4 stars after being contacted by the company’s customer service. Seller addressed my concerns and sent a pair of wide insoles. They fit my regular sized shoe much better. I did not need to trim or cut them either. I have flat feet and the extra 1/4” makes a big difference. The wide insoles should be standard and they should consider making the wide insoles another 1/4” wider for people using wide shoes. I got these and popped them in my running shoes. They contour to my feet and I use them over a prescription orthotic. My issue is that they are too narrow for a regular shoe, leaving a space around the edges. For the price, the least they could do is widen them to correctly fit a standard shoe. I suspect the wide version would fit a normal shoe better, but they hit you for an extra $5 for that one. The wider version probably has the same effect for people who wear wide shoes. Had I realized how narrow these are, I may have considered trying the wide version.

Not my preference anymore
I prefer these over my previous heat-moldable insoles I've used for years (two different pairs of shoes), as I've come to the conclusion that not only do I not NEED arch support (I have average arch height), but I really don't like the feel of "support" under my arches...one's foot arches aren't supported when walking barefoot, so why would they need support while walking in shoes ? ***This was originally a 5 star review but I changed my opinion, and now feel that heat moldable insoles are the way to go. When one's weight is distributed evenly and completely across the bottom of the foot (as moldable insoles do well), as opposed to just the balls of the foot and the heel (which these accomplish), the comfort level is superior.

Very comfortable
Oh, I was a little skeptical when I first saw this insole but after I trim them and put them in my boots. They feel comfortable and cool and extremely nice. I like them so much. I ordered a second pair and I sent it to my son so am I satisfied yes I am

Hard as rock!
They include a note with these insoles that asks you to wear them around to break them in for an hour and they will form to your foot -- "believe it or not". I did that. Before trying them out on a run, I wore them around the house for a while and then to the gym for my workout there. After which, well, it looked to me like they had changed shape slightly. Not sure. But when I tried to run on them, they hurt my feet and I took them out after five minutes. I was using them over orthotics (the company says that's fine). Maybe they work better when you use them flat. Maybe they work better for heavy people. But I did not like them at all.

They Dull Utah Rocks While Remaining Zero-Drop & Barefoot-compatible
These are perfect for what I needed (I got the thick [6mm] ones). I wear zero-drop, "barefoot"-style shoes (Xero, mostly). I love the flexibility of my shoes, but I live in Utah where walking on rugged, gravel trails is unavoidable, and the Xero shoe soles are just not resistant enough. No amount of barefoot adaptation is going to render a sharp rock hammering into your arch a non-issue. But add 6mm of tough EVA and I'm good. They do make the shoe a little bit less flexible, but they break in and don't affect the barefootedness of the shoes much -- and it is a reasonable trade off for not breaking your feet. Plus, they are flat, so they don't increase heel lift or provide (unwanted, in my case) arch support, meaning I don't strike my heel and I don't develop weak (flattened) arches. Thanks for a spot-on product.

Good sizing, extremely firm
This was purchased to slide underneath the existing insert in a pair of men's slippers. They had a shearling layer that was comfortable but offered zero cushioning while standing. When I held the two inserts back-to-back the sizing was practically identical; no cutting was needed. They were expensive leather slippers, and now they're back to being usable in time for winter. I would have preferred they not be bright red (gray/black/neutral) but that wasn't too big an issue. When you take it out of the packaging, don't be disheartened when you squeeze it and it feels super hard. It will be supporting your entire weight, and foam softens with time and body warmth. It shouldn't easily squish with just a finger pinch.
