The hospital nutritionist recommended whey protein isolate for my post-surgery recovery. She emphasized that I use whey protein isolate as opposed to whey protein concentrate. I eat organic/natural foods so finding a pure, unflavored isolate product was not easy ... I was very happy to discover Z Natural Foods Ultra Whey Protein Isolate. The powder is made in the USA and is Non-GMO, kosher and gluten-free. Bonus: it's packaged in a resealable foil bag rather than a plastic tub. It easily mixed into my milk, yogurt and smoothies and was truly flavorless. Pro Tip: don't even attempt to mix it into hot beverages or foods like oatmeal as it turns into a clumpy mess. I continue to purchase this product to help meet my protein goals. Highly recommended!

Z Natural Foods Ultra Whey Protein Isolate Powder, Unflavored, 5 pounds is excellent. I am pretty hard core about washing down vitamins and supplements with a small amount of milk or water and protein powder, following with more water. I do not need fancy flavors or extra sugar. I am trying for a Low Carb diet and do not want any unneeded extra sugars or artificial flavors. This is essentially pure Whey protein Isolate, which is exactly what I wanted. I am using a few ounces of milk instead of water because I have a small bone stress fracture and need Calcium; otherwise I would use water only. The Amazon price was low but Misleading: it said $58 for 5 lb, but was actually $65 at checkout. The $58 applies only if you agree to continuous periodic delivery of more protein powder. I keep the bag in my freezer and use it to fill up a 2 pound plastic container of my previous Whey Protein product from a different manufacturer. That product was fine, but had carbs, fat, artificial flavors, and added sugar. This product is pure, unflavored protein at an economical price, which is perfect. I have had Zero digestion problems with this product so far.

Good value! The quality seems good and the flavor is neutral which is what I was looking for to add to keto baked goods. I liked that there aren't a bunch of icky additives. Good sized bag for the price.

Plain unflavored, unsweetened whey protein: This product is great to scoop into coffee for a protein boost in the morning. I've learned that with a small motorized frother it mixes easily and is undetectable with my cream and sweetener, and I'm kind of finicky about that. It would be noticable for the lightening effect in black coffee, but I don't think it would affect the taste. I kept a scoop from another product that is about 1/4 cup and its perfect. Note: The only time it has failed to mix smoothly was when my coffee was just freshly brewed and especially hot. I set a timer so my coffee usually brews before I wake up and has had about fifteen minutes to sit before I get it, so that's usually not a problem.

I wanted a flavorless protein powder that I could incorporate into baking and decided on this option. First of all, worth the money 100% for me !! There’s a lot of product and it’s on the more affordable side of protein powders. It has the amount of protein that I was looking for, and is low calorie. Taste wise, I could not even tell that there was protein powder in my baked good. It blended in with ease, no chunkiness or noticeable smell. This is great for people who want to up their protein!

I was intrigued by this product and decided to try it in my morning tea (highly recommend watching attached video for more context). My order arrived on July 21, 2025, and on July 22, 2025, I prepared my first batch using the recommended six leveled tablespoons in a berry smoothie. Typically, my berry smoothies have a vibrant reddish-purple color. However, after adding the protein powder, the color shifted to a milky reddish-purple. Despite this change, the taste remained unaffected, and my smoothie still tasted great. My concern lies in the behavior of the product, as shown in the attached video. While I'm not a scientist or a whey isolate protein expert, the reaction I observed seemed unusual. Consequently, I have stopped using this protein powder after 1 day.
