Black Food Coloring
A little goes a long way to get the shade of gray, lol

Good!
Worked great to get a gray color for my ice cream. It probably could’ve been a lot more black if I added more dye, but I haven’t tried it

Hard to find a true black
The color is deep, but it has green undertones. Thought I could add some purple to cancel it out, but it’s not a very pure black. Overall, pretty good product

Pleasantly Surprised
Black can be a nightmare to achieve and use in baking. But, this was very good. Usually, blacks are made with purple, but this was straight black. The same thing applies to black sugar, glitter or sprinkles. I had to make a butter cream cheese frosting, and I just dumped the whole bottle in. You can always add equal drops of the 3 primary colours to intensify the black, and you can also mix in some black fondant, which I did. I got what I wanted.

It colors everything
I was testing dying cake batter for a tiger tail cake recipe. I couldn’t find black food color locally and thought that I might have to try creating the color by blending other colors. But this was inexpensive and thus worth trying for my experiment. I probably used about half the bottle for about 1/3 of a cake’s worth of batter. It came out dark brown in the baked cake, but not quite black. And after the cake was consumed, it definitely colors one’s stools bright green. That is a known effect of blue food coloring, so don’t be alarmed the next day. I makes me a bit leery of using much more food coloring, though.

Good value
Could not find black in the store at the time and got this right away from Amazon to use for Halloween cookies.
