Added M.2 SSD to a PC that I didn't even know had an M.2 slot
One screw to remove the bottom of the laptop and one screw to install the M.2 drive. Cloned the existing spinning hard drive and switched the boot drive in the BIOS to the SSD. The new drive became C: and the old one became D:. Been running Windows 10 for several days without issue. One thing to remember - this is a SATA III drive. My laptop is a little older and I'm sure I would have bought an NVME drive for it but I read somewhere that it needs to be SATA III. Thanks to whoever wrote that. The old drive is getting CRC errors. It still works but CRC errors are a sure sign that the drive is going to fail soon.

Price was reasonable.
This new drive works fine. Only had it a short time, so can't speak to longevity which is so important. There were cheaper drives, but I did not want to risk getting low quality.

Works as expected
It's a solid state drive - it stores and retrieves data, and does so pretty quickly. Be aware of three things: First, this is an M.2 SATA SSD, also called an NGFF SSD. NGFF stands for New Generation Form Factor. While the form factor may have been new over a decade ago when it was introduced, this SSD still uses the SATA bus, which tops out at 6Gb/sec (768MB/sec), and delivers a practical maximum of about 550MB/sec. It's no faster than a 2.5" SATA SSD, so buy whichever you can get cheaper if your motherboard's M.2 slot only supports SATA/NGFF SSDs. Second, while some M.2 slots support both SATA/NGFF and NVMe/PCI SSDs, many support just one or the other. So before buying this drive, make sure your M.2 slot supports SATA/NGFF. Third, referring back to the earlier comment about speed, if you want those super-fast SSD speeds of up to 7000MB/sec, you need an NVMe SSD, so if your M.2 slot supports NVMe, get that instead of this one.

Works well
I put this in a small enclosure to use as an external SSD for a Raspberry Pi running Home Assistant. It works as advertised, and should be a much more reliable replacement instead of running off the Pi's SD card. Very happy with the purchase.

I'm sure these are good, but the one I got from 'Resale' was defective - easily returned though.
I can't rate this 5 stars since the one I got didn't work, but Verbatim is a known decent company and I expect a good one would have functioned up to spec. Amazon made it easy to return the defective one. So, no harm no foul. I'd be willing to try another of the same kind.
