Perfect pull-up bar for real people and small spaces — sturdy, smart, and totally worth it.
I bought this for my daughter so she could stretch her back — now I’m the one using it every day. I work from home in a small townhome, so space is limited. The doorway between my workspace and the kitchen turned out to be perfect. Every time I get up for coffee, I hang for a few seconds. I used to be in the Army and fit... but that was about 20 years ago. These days I’m around 6'1" and 250+ lbs, and this bar holds me without any drama. No creaks, no slipping, no drywall damage — just solid. Here’s the part I didn’t get at first: that tiny metal hook in the middle? It’s the hero. It keeps the bar from rolling forward and saves you from learning gravity the hard way. I added the silicone squares it came with to protect the trim, and it hasn’t left a single mark. It’s simple, inexpensive, and well thought out. About $30, works great, and now it’s part of my daily routine. If you have a solid doorway and a habit of grabbing coffee every hour, this thing might accidentally make you a little more fit. I'll try to add photos when I'm not so embarrassed about the clutter on top of the fridge.

Great find
It’s great! Easy to assemble. The price was very reasonable. I’ve read that static hanging is so good for your shoulders and back. I love that it’s there and easy to use throughout the day. It feels very sturdy and high quality.

Got stronger biceps
If you’re anything like me, you may be wondering three things when looking at chin-up bars: –Will this fit in my door? –Is it strong enough to hold me up? –Will it destroy the molding? I’ll go through each of these points in my review. 1. “Will this fit my door?” It fits perfectly for a standard interior door with the following dimensions: Door slab width: ~31¾" Clear opening between jambs: a bit over 31" Top molding/header depth: just under 3" Total wall + frame thickness: ~7" The bar sits centered on the molding and clears the wall without interference. It can also be used on a narrower door with the following dimensions: Door slab width: a little over 25" Clear opening: ~25" Top molding/header depth: ~3" Total wall + frame thickness: ~5½" The bar can span this opening, but you won’t be able to use it for the widest type of grip, because the door frame will be resting on the bar itself, rather than the rubber ends that are supposed to contact the door frame. So useable but with limitations. The bar won’t fit on doors with oversized molding (~6" high for example). It also won’t work if there is no molding, because there will be nothing to latch onto. 2. "Is it strong enough to hold me up?" This is rated for 440 pounds, and I never put even half that much weight on it, so definitely haven’t tested this to its limits. For my use, it held up well. When I use the parallel grip the bar flexes more and the door creaks a bit, but nothing has broken. Creaking in general is something that happens when this is used on a door frame for the first time. The more it’s used, the less creaking there will be. The bar comes with a piece of metal designed to be hammered into the molding to help it stay in place. The product pictures don’t show this though. I’ve risked my safety a bit, perhaps, by not installing it, but have been careful enough with my chin-ups to not fall off so far. 3. "Will it destroy the molding?" The bar comes with some rubber pads to put on the molding where it supports the bar ends. I have hardwood molding and haven’t used the pads. There has been no damage to the molding so far. Summary Overall this is a solid product and I’m happy with how it’s functioned. It lets me do chin-ups at home and is a good balance of being relatively inexpensive but still sturdy enough to use without too much apprehension.

Great for a home gym or any door
Sturdy and stable, easy to install, requires a small assembly but nothing too bad. Feel’s secure and locked in place as soon as put it up and easy to take down as well. Great doe a home gym or on any door.

Sturdy, Easy-to-Use Pull-Up Bar for Home Workouts
The Ally Peaks Pull Up Bar for Doorway has been an awesome addition to my home workout setup. It feels incredibly sturdy once mounted and supports weight without wobbling or shifting. The wide grip options make it easy to switch between muscle groups, and the padded handles are comfortable even during longer sessions. Installation is simple—no drilling, no hassle—and it comes off the doorframe just as easily when you need the space. I also like that the protective padding keeps the door trim from getting scuffed. For anyone wanting a reliable pull-up bar that’s easy to use and built well, this one is a great choice.

Great customer service!
I had an issue with the first bar I ordered. It was missing a screw making it impossible to build properly, I sent them a refund request on Amazon and they sent me another one very quickly, which had all the parts. This is really good bar, gets the job done. I’ve been using it for a few months for both pushups and pull-ups, and doesn’t seem to be degraded at all.

5/5 Solid
I’ve been using the Ally Peaks Pull Up Bar for a week now, and it’s been fantastic. Super easy to install—no tools, no drilling—just wedge it in the doorway in under a minute. It feels incredibly stable with no wobble or creaking, even at my 200+ lbs during full pull-ups and hanging leg raises. The multi-grip positions (wide, narrow, neutral) let me target different muscles effectively, and the thick foam grips are comfortable for longer sets.

Surprised at how well it works.
I am 280lbs and 6'3" I did not expect much from this going in. But I thought it was worth a try. I was pleasantly surprised. It holds up well. Doesn't flex under my weight and the door frame is not damaged from use. For me to be able to hang from this and not hurt anything is more than I ever expected. The grip is great and it was super easy to install. The only reason that it's 4 stars instead of 5 is that it's just a little too short in width to really be versatile in how I grip it. I can only really handle it in one of the three suggested positions because the other two are not realistic or comfortable for me.

Item damaged and missing parts upon delivery. Likely this was a return from another customer. Dissapointing.

The ALLY PEAKS Pull Up Bar isn’t fitness equipment—it’s a statement of structural dominance. The moment you install this thing in a doorway, the entire house knows upper-body training is now mandatory. Built from thickened steel pipe with a super heavy-duty frame, this bar feels absolutely unshakeable. No flex. No creaks. No “is this about to fail?” thoughts mid-rep. Rated up to 440 lbs, it radiates confidence like it’s daring gravity to try something. 😤🔥 The multi-grip design is where it really shines. Wide grip, close grip, neutral grip—every hand position hits different muscles, turning a simple doorway into a full upper-body command center. Pull-ups, chin-ups, leg raises, hanging holds—it handles all of it without complaint. Installation is straightforward, and once it’s up, it stays put. Door frame protected, bar locked in, workout unlocked. Every time you walk past it, it silently challenges you to do “just one more set.” ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you want a rock-solid, no-excuses home gym upgrade, the ALLY PEAKS Pull Up Bar is an absolute unit. Strong build. Serious capacity. Doorway training, upgraded to beast mode.

It's good but unfortunately the whole where you put the screw at wasn't designed to fit perfectly, do it wasn't stable. Other than that it's amazing.
