It really comes down to one thing: the neoprene. McDavid uses a thick—but not too thick—neoprene that simply feels right. When I put it on, it slides into place, warms up my knee, and gives it this supportive “hug” that basically says, go ahead and jump. I’ve tried the Bauerfeind NBA edition, and while it’s a nice sleeve, it felt more like something you’d wear during warmups, not something that actually supports you through real movement. Mueller looked like they were trying to copy McDavid, but the material was barely half as thick and didn’t offer the same confidence or warmth. One more thing worth noting: McDavid was cheaper than the other two. Price wasn’t a deciding factor for me, but it definitely made the win even more clear. Out of everything I’ve tested, McDavid just feels the most secure, the most supportive, and the most ready for actual activity.

I like the product, but when I tried to return it because it was too large, Amazon wouldn't let me, saying the site was experiencing some technical difficulties and to try again later. I guess it's their way of preventing returns? Disappointed.
