is the aloe in this capsule latex free?

Yes, the aloe in GI-Encap is latex-free. The aloe vera in Thorne’s GI-Encap is derived from the gel of the aloe vera leaf.

Is this product considered low fodmap?

I’m not sure if it’s low FOD map. I do not have IBS. However I had severe acid reflux that turned into Barrett’s. I took prescription antacids for many years. Omeprazole is one. I weaned myself off of omeprazole by taking the thorne GI Encap. I should preface that by saying I had tried on a number of occasions to either cut down or stop taking prescription antacids. But each time my reflux returned with a vengeance. A family member suggested that I take the G.I. endcap which I did. I thought it off two capsules per day one in the morning before eating and one in the evening half hour to an hour before dinnerI no longer suffer the symptoms of acid reflux. The Barrett’s syndrome is something that’s there you just don’t want to aggravate it further. If you look up Thorne G.I. endcap and it’s ingredients, it’s all veggie. I E licorice extract, marshmallow extract, slippery elm, and aloe vera gel. A year after I started taking the GIN. I had visited my gastroenterologist who advised me to stop taking omeprazole if I could. I informed him of what I was taking now And he has since suggested to some of his patients to try this. Does this supplement negatively interact with PPIs such as Prilosec or Nexium?

No, no interactions but PPIs are literally one of the worst medications for your body!! The decrease of acid from PPIs cause Candida to grow out of hand in the body, which is where leaky gut stems from. PPIs pulls the calcium out of our bones giving it the option of attaching to the arteries and other places it shudnt be. Long story short PPIs are just horrible meds that Drs don't like to admit that you shudnt take more than 14 days. I was on them for 10 years until I took myself off. But not before they caused leaky gut, which lead to inflammation all over my body (responsible for most autoimmune diseases), that turned into Candida overgrow, alopecia, every digestion issue in the book, etc. And im convienced the inflammation (autoimmune) of the effects of PPIs was on the verge of causing fibromyalgia and Lymphedema just before I stopped PPIs and got the Candida under control and most of the inflammation. Lots of flushing toxins, metals and replenishing vitamins/nutrients from years of pharmaceutical drugs that are usually worst than the "issue" they are prescribed for.

Questo integratore è perfetto per il reflusso, io l'ho preso per la gastrite ed è stato d'aiuto (non posso prendere il pantoprazolo) e ha aiutato anche mia mamma che soffre di reflusso. Pare che la liquirizia dgl (deglicirrizzata) sia un rimedio scientificamente provato per il reflusso e la gastrite

Having been on these for approximately 3 months, I feel it's time to give my opinion. Whilst I still get some extremely mild acid reflux (lasting for no more than a couple of seconds) this product really has calmed it down. I somewhat suspect the reflux would disappear entirely if I took more than 2 of these per day, but given their price, to do so would be rathe expensive. Anyway, great product!!
