Story of the World, Vol. 2 Test and Answer Key: History for the Classical Child: The Middle Ages

I would actually give this workbook 4.5 stars. This is great to complement the Story of the world textbook. I have my kids take a test after they read a chapter, and then have them correct it going back to the chapter. The tests can be used as workbook materials. We tried the activities book for volume 1 but didn’t really like it. This is great though

I love this series for my 6-7-9 year olds. Really interesting for me too. The tests are well aligned with the books.

I purchased this for homeschool use to go with the text book. It has a good balance in the type of questions for each chapter. Because he is in 6th grade, we do the questions orally so I can judge his comprehension, and we can expand discussion in certain areas with critical thinking and logic. As a secular homeschooler, I am looking for material that is accurate and not slanted toward any particular religion, but teaches religion only with respect to how it has shaped various cultures.

These tests are great. They help us better retain what we've learned of names of historic people and places. This curriculum makes history fun and interesting and memorable, especially if you use the accompanying workbooks as well. The whole family can learn world history as well as quite a bit of world geography. And the geography sticks in the brain longer than rote memorized geography because the world history stories help you connect meaning to the maps as well as these tests. They go along with the best World History curriculum available.

Our homeschool family used Susan Wise Bauer's The Story of the World history books to study the Ancient Times and enjoyed the format and projects. The kids couldn't wait to get started on this one. This author does a great job of making history exciting and interesting. I would recommend this to anyone.

Love the ease of this curriculum. I am able to let the children go at their own pace to read these books. Then I use these tests to check and see if they are "getting it" as well as doing our own timeline to reinforce. It's something simple to have to put in their portfolios at the end of the year!

These tests/quizzes are a super way to check if your child is understanding what they have been reading. They really help the child to review what they have learned and recall it. My children have enjoyed taking these tests. They are not hard and discouraging, but more encouraging when children can answer the questions and recall facts. For the minimal price, they are a super addition to a fantastic history curriculum!

Love this curriculum but I thought I was getting an answer key with the book?Unless I have to do it myself??
