I don't often write reviews but this time I felt I really should, as I'm very impressed. We've had an old KEW pressure washer for years for use around the stableyard, but it finally expired. As a replacement I ordered a Kärcher K2 Compact, but with some hesitation as it seemed a bit too cheap. And when it arrived, the package seemed very small and light compared to the old machine. Would it be sufficiently robust for the job? Having put it together and used it for some time, my answer is definitely yes! Although it's mostly plastic, it's solidly made and works well. I like the automatic sensing which turns off the motor when the trigger is released. So far I've used it for pressure washing three 12 x 12 foot loose-boxes (stables to the uninitiated!) and a large field shelter, and it did the job better than the old machine. The pressure is ample for everything I've tried. The normal spray lance is fine for general cleaning, but the Dirtbuster lance really does what it says: it was excellent at cleaning off encrusted horse droppings that had been trodden into the concrete floor for a year. Before, this had been a time-consuming and awkward job, but the Kärcher did it quickly and well. All in all these jobs took several hours, and the motor didn't get hot. After use, the pressure washer packs down into a small space. You'll need to get a standard 1/2-inch garden hose with a tap fitting and a jubilee clip for the water supply, and probably an extension cable for the electrical supply. To sum up, this is an excellent piece of German engineering. If it broke (which I trust it won't) I'd gladly buy another. At the £59 I paid for it, it's excellent value for money. It would certainly do for any domestic jobs.

I bought this pressure washer to replace my old broken one. It is a brilliant little machine and ideal for women to use, so easy to put together.So far I have cleaned all three good sized patio's a driveway all the kids outdoor toys and the wall at the back of the garden.I was really surprised to find it is very powerful, but it is not so powerful that it will damage anything but plenty powerful enough to do the jobs. the only bad thing is the length of the lead it is quite short but nothing that an extension lead doesn't solve! It is very light to carry, quiet and my old (longer) hose and accessories fit. With a 2 year warranty it is terrific value for money and all being well it will last me for a lot of years to come. If and when it dies I will definitely buy another one. realistically it is saving me an absolute fortune it has already paid for itself, Overall I am really impressed with this washer I got a bit washer happy with it I love seeing everything so clean I cant recommend this enough!

This is a very compact and well-made pressure washer. 2 wands are provided for different kinds of spraying. The quality of the moulded plastic parts, fittings and handle are what sets this apart over cheaper competitors in this category. The quality is excellent. This machine's supposedly rated for smaller jobs if you read Karcher's product literature - the iconography on the package shows a bicycle, a gardening tools and patio furniture as the suggested size of cleaning jobs this machine will tackle, but it's capable of way more. I washed a patio, the steps around my house, a brick wall and a car on the first time of use - it took a bit of time to do the whole patio, but that's because it was uneven and covered with soil. The finished result was remarkable - clean and evenly finished overall. This thing is very well conceived overall. One might even refer to this little gem as a "Skookum Chooch-er" in my neighbourhood - a rare badge of honour for worthy power tools and electrical goods. It's easy to understand and operate. It's quiet in operation - the motor runs only while the trigger is squeezed. The jets work great in cleaning, there's integrated storage for the spare wands and power cord, the ergonomics are well thought out, the thing looks great compared to the competition. You pay more that you woud for some other little pressure washers, but you get what you pay for, guy. Karcher nailed it.
