important read for all Christians and non believers
The Case for Christ is an outstanding and deeply compelling book. It’s both highly educational and a powerful, well-structured argument for Christianity, built on thorough research, logic, history, and expert testimony. The book examines all the key pillars of the Christian faith, including New Testament archaeology, historical reliability, and—most importantly—the resurrection of Jesus. What makes this book especially compelling is the calibre of the scholars being interviewed. These are world-renowned experts who have spent decades researching these subjects. Their conclusions carry far more weight than the casual opinions of skeptics who have never seriously studied the texts or the historical data for themselves. Another strength of the book is that the author, Lee Strobel, is uniquely qualified to conduct this investigation. At the time, he was an atheist investigative journalist whose wife had converted to Christianity. That personal context gives the book its edge. He approaches the subject with genuine skepticism, asks high-level, tough questions, and brings the strongest atheist objections to the table. This makes it clear that the investigation is not shallow, biased, or intellectually dishonest. The book is sometimes criticised for mainly interviewing Christian scholars. While that is true, this objection ultimately falls short. Strobel comes armed with strong atheist arguments, including those from prominent skeptics, and presses the experts hard with rigorous cross-examination. If the goal is to test a worldview, there is real value in questioning those who know the evidence best and seeing whether their case holds up under scrutiny. Overall, this is an exceptional book on Christian apologetics. It covers a wide range of evidence and builds a cumulative, persuasive case that ultimately presents exactly what the title promises: The Case for Christ. I would highly recommend it to both Christians wanting to strengthen their faith and skeptics who are genuinely open to following the evidence wherever it leads.

A great read
Why would I an Atheist give 5 stars to a book that lays out the "Case for Christ"? I shall explain. The book continues all the way through really like a action thriller crime courtroom drama blockbuster: Observe a slightly modified example >>>> I straightened my chair and said with an edge to my voice,"Couldnt the diciples have made it all up?" He leaned forward and looked at me straight with not a waver in his eyes. "No. Thats impossible because we know they are all of good character.." I sat back in my chair blown away by his response,"Oh, OK then....Works for me!" <<<<< Strobel is a newshound and just as we beleive what is written in the papers, Strobel knows we can beleive what he writes in his book. Starting off with some personal background he tries to claim a base of personal credibility by saying he was once an atheist. Explaining his path to beleiving as having his wife nag him into it,he read some propaganda sucked it up and hey presto dreams are now reality. Stroble then proceeds around the nation (of America's bible belt) and looks up the most glassy eyed protestant evangelical christians he can find with a degree, with the purpose of interviewing them. He introduces each chapter with courtroom drama from cases he attended as a young hack, then applies this to the life of Jesus. So we have chapters like "THE EYEWITNESS TESTEMONY" and "THE FINGERPRINT EVIDENCE" (which turns out not to be Jesus's fingerprints on a magic bottle of wine but simply the christian beleif that Jesus fits vaguely into some earlier lines in the old testemant, in a half assed way when you try to stuff him in there). The scholar then pretty much breaks down in tears and talks about how no one loved him till he met Jesus. (Met jesus in the usual fuzzy hearing stories way-not a full blown mental breakdown like St Paul.) Thats the "fingerprint evidence". And the chances of it being wrong if you assign a random number to him riding a colt and ass then times it for bizzare reasons is trillions upon trillions to one. There you go rationalists. All the hard evidence you need! He muddles his scholars as well. Personally If I was going to Interveiw Willaim Lane Craig for this book, I would have him doing what he does best: setting out the apriori philisophical evidence that snow is hot and everything is nothing, that if a maximal goodness is neccessery then by definition it substantially must res cogitans / res extensa have Substance esse est percipi in the corpse of a handyman. Strobel has Craig here defending the empty tomb. Craig can do this no better than anyone else and has to resort to "Likelys" Its unlikely that the soldiers fell asleep, Its unlikely that the rock rolled away by itself etc. But naturally enough the obvious " umm but wasnt this just a bunch of zealots(or edomians)making stuff up.." dosnt get an airing. The logic is the tomb was empty, the jews agree the tomb was empty, people dont get up naturally when they are dead so Jesus got up and walked off magically with Yaweh operating the puppet strings. So Why would an atheist 5 Star this book. If your a Atheist already, It will cement your understanding of christian mindset and make you a "stronger atheist" If Your Agnostic or a Doubting Christian, you will be surprised that such a fanciful tale like christianity hangs on such feeble threads as Stroble Presents If your a Full Blown Fundy, This book might shake your beleif and get you thinking "there HAS to be something better than THIS!"

Very thought provoking, intelligent and informative
Although a ‘believer’ already I read this book after it was recommended to me. I found the investigation very thorough and logical. I found the answers from the experts to be enlightening and informative, especially in the historical and anthropological areas. Although a serious subject the author’s journalistic expertise makes the writing flow naturally and very readable and personal.

Recommended for anyone interested in Christianity
I think the best of this book are the interviews by leading scholars, historians and philosophers. The added journalistic experiences is a plus but this is not an journalistic book. Is something else, so don't expect it to be. Even though he tries to argue against it, I would of liked to see a bit more oposition against the case. I would recommend this book for anyone who is looking to Christianity as well as any Christian who wants to learn how much evidence there is for the case of Jesus's resurrection. 4 stars for the job of putting all the evidence together And making it easy to read.

The case for Christ by Lee Strobel
Valuable resource for all those on a journey of faith to Christian belief. A journalist sets out to disprove the resurrection and ends up with undeniable facts that prove it happened.

outstanding, ruthlessly clear historical arguments
From the outset this has only strengthened my belief and has undoubtedly alleviated any doubts I may have unconsciously held fast to. Definitely worth a re read in order to dig further with my bible in hand.
