Amazing flashlight
This light is amazing. I have had it for years and it still works great without any issues. It has taken a beating with blunt force and high temps and it rocks. The lens is still new. Batteries are cheap also and easy to install.

Worked in a ripping structure fire
It showed up on a Monday, put it on my helmet and got it adjusted. Its pretty bright. I was worried about the weight of it as others I've experienced you can really feel on your head, this one is barely noticeable which is great. Sure enough had a working structure fire that night. While I have a LED light on my turnout gear, its not always pointing where I am looking. Having this lined up for where my face is looking is great, and it performed great. It was bright enough where I could see what I was doing in heavy smoke. Any heavier, no light would have made any difference, so it performed as well as my "big" chest light. I was absolutely soaked and covered in debris, but the light worked and the mount held up fine. I can't speak to the longevity of the battery, but it took a beating within hours of me setting it up and I was happy with the visual performance. Really easy to turn on and off with fire gloves on.

A lightweight alternative to a survivor or box light, and less cumbersome. Great piece of gear.
Being a career firefighter, and in the fire service for more than. 20 years, I rely on my gear alot. Off duty I run a similar light on several of my rifles the TLR 1, and use alot of streamlight products on the job, so I new I was getting quality. It fit my paul conway traditional helmet without the shims, it feels nice and secure. It also does not add any noticeable weight also a plus. Its plenty bright, and looking forward to using it, and several of the guys have expressed interest in the vantage. I am definately gonna put it through some real world abuse, and hope it can hold up to the heat. But this is way better than lugging around a box light, or survivor strapped to your coat. Not sure how the batteries will hold up when exposed to extreme heat being they are lithium, but I have my fingers crossed. Any advantage I can get, I gladly except. So far I am happy with it. This was the second I purchased for the wife, who is also a career firefighter, she loves it.

Awesome helmet mounted light
I got to use the vantage on a house fire for the first time this morning. This thing is super bright. So bright that when I look at people, they'd look away. I forgot I had the thing on! The mounting of the light is very secure. However, I have a visor on my helmet. The light works awesome when the visor is up, but it will be partially blocked when the visor is down. I don't see a big problem with this unless your doing mop ups or extrications when the visor needs to be down. All the guys on scene were asking about it, so they seemed impressed as well. The blue light on the light was great too. I obviously didn't notice it, but my guys on the hose line could see me as I moved around in thick smoke down to knee level. They seemed to think it was easy to see. Update: Feb 26 We had a tech rescue this morning. Guy fell 30 feet into a well, early morning, and very dark. I had the light on my helmet when my captain and I dropped down with the patient. The light worked well, but in a confined space the thing is super bright. It's awesome for working around a house or a large area, but the intensity of the light and the straight focused beam is something to keep in mind in a situation where space is confined. It worked great of course, but just be aware of where that thing is pointing. All in all, it's an awesome light... highly recommended.

My bother and I are on a rural volunteer fire dept. and both have this light on out helmets. We have had them for about a year now and the light has been terrific. It has performed perfect in structure fires and plenty of night fires and held up well and the light is extremely bright. The blue light is bright as well and lets people know were you are. I can see were my brother is at all times even if I can't see him through the smoke I can see that blue light. I was reluctant to purchase this light at first because of the price but I have no regrets at all. I would highly recommend this light to any one that wants a GOOD helmet light. The battery's are easy to find and last well. They are just a CR-123a lithium battery that you can pick up at your local store. I have not had a single issue with this light.

Great light at times
Battery life is pretty weak ,but it has gotten a lot of use in fire so I could have forgotten to turn it off an ran out the battery anyways the batteryās lasted like 2 months so itās pretty decent. Brightness is good in a fire scenario or catching a hydrant at night or night time car crashes and the durability is definitely there it takes a beating on my helmet and it still works good as new ,but the metal battery tab in it is kinda weak and deforms so changing battery or keeping them is a pain

Extremely bright helmet light! Going strong for 3 years!
I'm a career firefighter and I have this on my helmet and it's a fantastic light. It's easy to turn on with gloves hands and the beam is very bright, strong and focuses and it goes very far. What I especially like about it is the bright blue light beacon on the back of the light, so people behind you can see you inside a dark building. This feature could potentially save your life. This light had been through a lot and remains working wonderfully after 3 years. I change the batteries once a year and I've never had it die on me. It's extremely rugged, and if you're looking for a solid helmet light, look no further than this one!

The overall quality of the torch is excellent but with one major flaw, the incredibly hard to use clip that holds the batteries in. The clip is so hard to close that it would be impossible to do it with the torch on a helmet, even off the helmet it is extremely hard to close the clip. The instructions suggest holding the clip against a heavy hard object to enable the clip to be closed, right there having to explain that the clip is troublesome should have been a warning sign to the designers.

Amazing battery life and brightness. Easy to attach to helmet. Easy to change batteries. Mine has survived freezing cold (-40C) and extreme heat (400C+) and it's handling itself well. Fits my Cairns 1044 like a glove and took me under 30 seconds to install. Solid investment.
