Before I say anything BE SURE TO WEAR A RESPIRATOR TYPE MASK WHILE SPRAYING THIS! If you inhale the fumes, the paint will harden in your lungs causing an infection and high fever. This happened to me because i wore a thin cheap covid-style mask. It didn't block ANYTHING!! I could not inhale enough oxygen all night, and thought I was going to die. LISTEN TO ME! FOLLOW THE LABEL WARNINGS!! Product worked great! Make sure you shake it for a couple minutes (really well!) before popping the cap. Then shake it again (really well!) for a couple minutes more while depressing the mix cap on the bottom to get all of the chemicals out. Sprays well. End result was satin finish. Crystal Clear.

this stuff is a must if you want a long lasting finish that shines..can be sanded and buffed..the hardner which has to be activated with the knob on the bottom is great

So only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I did run into the same paint spatter when applying over my base coat. I was wearing gloves so I'm not sure if the tip of the glove was in the way of the spray tip causing the spray paint spatter white dots on my project. Was painting a rear plastic spoiler satin black so let's see if the second time around is better and hopefully just got a defective can and or glove got in the way of the spray tip causing drips. Other than that this spray is really good and satin finish color is perfect with a hint of gloss and hardens in one day. Super easy to use and shake the can VERY WELL before use. I'll be posting another review soon. So just as I thought the second time around sprayed perfectly with No drips No paint splatter and I was sure not to let the rubber glove get in the way of the spray paint pattern. Sprays like a paint gun and lays on super evenly. I did shake can for 3 minutes, popped the bottom and shook can for another 3 minutes. Would definitely recommend and buy again for another project. 10 stars!!

This stuff works really well. I painted my tank and both fenders on my Harley with the Hot Rod Satin black and this Semi matte clear coat. Turned out fantastic. I will say I’ve read some comments about splatter or having the can leave drops on your project. I had zero issues with the paint, although I had a few drops of the clear coat on my rear fender. But it was on the top of the fender where the seat goes, so no worries. I believe it was the angke I was holding the can to paint that part of the fender. Overall VERY pleased. A little pricey but well worth it. Oh and one more thing, one review mentioned something about the gloss....when you order the semi matte, the can actually comes labeled “clear satin”. I feel the “matte” description may be slightly misleading. I thought they sent me the wrong can but I went ahead and used it anyways and was glad I did. If you want matte, order the basic matte, if you want a little bit of a sheen, a low gloss, order the semi matte, or clear satin, cause that’s what it is. Hope this helps anyone.

I have used 2-k many of times!! But both of theses would not spray correctly lost 1/2 of the material in one can do to not spraying correctly! The other can so low of pressure you could not get a wet look it would only dry spray.

The spray quality is good with only a tiny bit of spatter. The best fully wet and even coat is achieved with the can about 10-12 inches from the part, however, to get the correct sheen once dried the can needs to be about 16-18 inches away. Otherwise, it dries more glossy than it should.

Fabulous finish for a plane if you want matte. It is remarkably tough and actually prevents hangar rash. Totally fuel resistant. Beware. You HAVE TO WEAR A RESPIRATOR and APPLY OUTSIDE or in a paint booth to prevent lung compromise. Lasts for at least a month if kept in a freezer once activated. Beware however that it leaves an oder on foods in the frig so plastic bag it.

I've decided to go with the bare, sand blasted metal look on my truck and had to seal the metal with clear to keep it from rusting. After some research I opted for Spray Max 2K clear coat and I'm glad I did. I made a spray booth out of an old 8 person tent and sprayed the hood of my truck. Activating the hardener was easy with the provided red cap and the spray nozzle has a wide pattern like a HVLP paint gun. The coverage from one can is quite good and my hood has remained rust free despite a few showers. I do have a bit of rust flashing here and there but that has nothing to do with the clear coat and everything to do with me not spraying a consistant coat. I will use Spray Max 2K on my other body panels for sure.

Caution: I hope this review can me helpful. First off The can had issues from the get go. I had a window to clear coa and had the perfect settings, environment and project ready to go. I am a painter. The issue is the can was sputtering paint from the start. It had moments where it was spraying fine and when it was this was impressive however the end result was defective for sure. Many have noticed this with spray cans as of late not just Spray Max. Is this an epidemic of spray cans. Could be however be cautious this was defective for sure. I would aim to use spray guns. Inconsistency with spray pattern and nozzle issues are the primary concern here. I truly hope this helps.

Waiting to considerable time to receive this. Had to use it as I had a deadline to meet. Ruin the project as it was supposed to be semi mat and it was satin. Money material and time wasted. Semi matte should have a bit of a shine to it, is more washable and scrubble and suitable for the purpose that I bought it for. I received clear satin which has already scratched, stained and ruined my rims I spent months refinishing. 3+ months of work,waiting for paint,clear,stickers,caps...all done and your mistake ruined it. Thanks alot!!
