How long after mixing with catalyst must the cactus juice be used?

I believe it will last for one year. If you call Turn Tex the maker of cactus juice the owner will stay on the phone with you and answer all your questions until you are completely satisfied. I know this because I did it. I would give the owner a 5 star rating.

How large a crack will Cactus Juice fill? I have some checks in otherwise beautiful birdseye maple.

Filling cracks isn't a strong suit for cactus juice. It's absorbed into the wood fibers to stabalize & strengthen the wood. To fill cracks look at a product called alumilite acrylic. I've had great success with both products.

I use a pressure tank at about 60 psi for casting resin. Will a pressure tank work or does it have to be a vacuum tank?

You'll want Vaucuum in this scenario as the vacuum draws the air out of the material and replaces it with the cactus juice. Pressure simply shrinks the air pockets to a size small enough to not be seen in your resin castings. etc

Does this product require a vacuum to work properlyor can I brush it on to slab soft spots

Assuming the problem is that your slab is too big for your vacuum chamber, a large vacuum clothes storage bag might work if the wood is 100% dry and soft. After extracting as much of the air as you can, let the air back in and soak submerged for a week. Still requires baking. It will not yield the same results as a pen blank in a vacuum chamber. But sometimes, you just have to work with what you got.
