tech21 Evo Clear Phone Case for Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max 5G with 10 ft. Drop Protection

Solid case, dropped my phone in it plenty of times and it’s never broke. Lightweight and minimal. No rubber, so it’s smooth getting it in and out of pockets. The sun will cause it to yellow over time near the edges.

This is the third phone case I’ve repurchased. It definitely has saved my phone as a clumsy person. I know my phone is safe with this. After time it does eventually yellow on the sides from oils from the skin but it lasts a long time before yellowing and still works great even after it has yellowed.

Decent case

This EvoClear version is made out of TPU, whereas some of the other colors like the EvoCheck used to use, and may still use, something the company calls FlexShock, which is a bit more rubbery feeling. However the TPU in this version is still somewhere between rubber and plastic, and has a good grip, and offers almost as good drop protection. Contrary to what some reviews say, the case fits an iPhone 12 Pro quite well. It's not crystal clear, as it has a little bit of milky translucence, with a bluish tint when it's empty, but bluishness isn't apparent when it is mounted. I purchased at the same time another brand of a clear case that cost less than one third the price, which is pretty much crystal clear, but with the bumpers on the corners and perhaps sharper edges, it does not look as smooth as the tech21, even if it is a little less bulky, and doubtless would not offer as much impact protection. Speaking of impact protection, the official information in the manufacturers info for this EvoClear version says it offers protection from 10 foot drops, and this is what it says on the box it came in, while some of the other colors, like the EvoCheck, have 12 foot drop protection. Unfortunately, the title description and Amazon bullet points give erroneous information that this has 12 foot drop protection. I sent feedback about this issue, so we'll see if it's corrected. This means one must be very careful not to toss the iPhone higher than 10 feet or drop it from an elevation over 10 feet. If you feel the need for two feet more protection, you have to get one of the other colors, like the EvoCheck or the EvoWallet.

The case is sleek and protects with a perfect fit. The durability is great as I have dropped the phone however, it says does not easily scratch but I have a few deep scratches not really knowing how I got it as I only place on the tables.. still a good case and the side of the case is pretty slippery not as slippery as the phone itself. The case does it job and protects while showing the phone color.. Update a few weeks later : has not turned yellow :)

I bought this product in April 2021. Today, December 2023, I took off the case for I think the first time ever. It took a bit of prying to actually get it off, but wasn’t hard. I don’t think I’ve gotten a single crack in my screen protector since I first bought this case. The case has held up very well. The most damage that has happened is the edges of the case getting minor scrapes from all the times I’ve accidentally dropped my phone on pavement and things like that. Looking at it off of my phone I can tell the edges have yellowed quite a bit but the back of the case is still very clear. (I added the black circle in the image for my pop socket.) I feel like this case could last me another two and a half years easily, but since I had it off I figured I might as well buy a new one. I’ve definitely gotten my money’s use out of it! The edges of my charger port and speakers definitely built up a little grime but it came off easily with a damp q-tip. For what my phone has gone through in the last 2 1/2 years I am extremely satisfied with this case and how it has help up and protected my phone.

Perfect case. Nice balance between protection and aesthetics. The sides have a material that makes it grippy and easy to hold. The back is a hard plastic that provides good protection but scratches. There’s a lip to protect the front screen and a lip to protect the back camera. Doesn’t add a lot of bulk but still feels like it’ll protect the phone in case of a 10 ft drop. It fits nice and snug so no worries about the phone popping out upon drop impact. The buttons are proctective and very responsive. Works with MagSafe charging.

The original clear cover I purchased with my phone started to yellow. I tried to clean it, but the yellowing did not go away. I purchased this as a replacement and it has been working out well.. I have had this longer than my original case and it’s not yellowing. It also is very protective and helps to prevent damage for your phone if dropped. I wanted a clear case so you could see the color of my phone. The outside is fairly smooth so it does not provide any additional gripping capability.

It gives good protection to the phone but It is not slim as stated in description. Slightly smaller size & material is very hard. Inserting & removing phone from the case is difficult. It is not recommended for those who changes SIM frequently due to some reason.

Good solid case without being too bulky. Fits perfectly - I was worried because some reviewers said it was way too tight for the iPhone 12 Pro. Dropped the phone a few times and so far so good. Not sure about the "self healing " claim. Got a few scratches and they're still there, but I don't care about that. As long as the phone is safe.
