The Emty Nest
Although I had to finish reading this book to end I did find it very boring at times but was surprised with the ending.

bit slow to start with.
Bit slow to start with but then warmed up with a good twist at the end. Would recommend as a good coffee break book.

Intruiging
Okay I am completely confused by what I think about this book. This book was a complete surprise in one respect and kudos to Sue Watson for creating a cracking ending. However, there is an element of me that just wanted to slap the main character far too many times for me to be able to give this a full 5 stars and I don’t even know why. Of course the lead characters name is awesome (check box 1) but from the outset there was (in my opinion) an edge of mania about her which just grated on me. When her beloved daughter goes missing her life literally stops. As the book progresses my dislike dialled down a notch as the reader learns more about why Kat had become this paranoid mother teetering on the edge with her daughter, but still something just irritated me about her. This is a pretty dark and twisted tale once you reach the end and it seems from the outset that every person in Kats life could be potentially involved in her disappearance.I would say towards the last quarter of the book I had my suspicions and it turned out I was right (sort of) but I was still surprised at how it ended but by the time I had finished that last page I realised just how much I had enjoyed the book. It’s certainly a slightly twisted book and although I disliked the character it was still a page turner as you just have to find out what happened

Fantastic! You won’t put it down!
I’m glad I read this book whilst I was on holiday because I literally couldn’t put it down until I found out what had happened to Kat’s daughter Amy!This novel taps into some of our darkest fears as parents, there were times when my stomach twisted in fear, others when I cried in recognition of the feelings of loss Kat experienced at letting go of her daughter as she left for university.Sue Watson cleverly weaves a cast of potential suspects into this story which ensures you never know how it will end.Absolutely loved it.

Huge disappointment
I had to try really hard to finish this book , sooooo repetitive about the mother’s feelings, extremely boring and just waiting for something to happen. When I got the ending I had to go back and forward a few pages as I couldn’t believe that was it! I thought I’d missed something. Sorry but the worst book I’ve ever read, don’t waste your time!

Good ending
It didn’t really grip me to begin with but I persevered and it was worth it, the last few chapters were brilliant.

Took me a while to get into this book. It’s a good book. I pretty much had it figured out pretty quickly. It is a good thriller.

Gripping
As I am easily distracted, this book kept me interested and was a good beach read.

Quite boring
I had read another book by this author and liked it, so bought this one. But I must say, nothing ever happened! The story was pulled like a chewing gum, and there was no character I could like much. And the end was really a fairy tale, I doubt it would be possible in reality. No. No recommendation from my side.

The Empty Nest
I choose this rating because the plot is well developed and with many events and mysteries. I liked the way the things unfold and I recommend the book to whoever likes thrillers and stories with drama and lot of actions.
