DiversiTech CP-22-230 Automatic Condensate Pump for HVAC/R Equipment, Condensation Removal Pump with Removable Check Valve, 230V, 22' Lift

I'm using this as a cooling pump for a tig welding torch. Flow and pressure of this pump are right in the ballpark for the torch and it was one of the only small 240v pumps out there. Changed the plug to plug into my welder, shortened the pump body length to fit a 5 gal bucket lid and plumbed the torch to dump back to the bucket. A few gallons of dexcool and distilled water fills the bucket and lifts the float switch. I've run it for about an hour of welding and the bucket only got warm. The only concerns I have are dust getting into the motor and and coolant. Pump is working great so far and total cost was about $100 vs $3-400 for a commercial cooler. It's probably not suitable for production work but neither is my welder. For garage work this works fine.

This pump does not work hard enough, I am cleaning up floods daily.

I’m sure this pump works fine but I believe that it is a “Frequently Returned Item” because the listing doesn’t make it obvious to DIYers that this has a 230 VAC plug (see photo) instead of a regular 120v plug, and will NOT fit into a standard outlet without an adapter. I returned this so I could get the CP-22 model with the standard wall plug instead of this CP-22-230.

It's an exact replacement for what I already have. I works like the original.
