I’ve always loved macrame and I’ve been wanting to get into for a while now. I’m a complete newbie so this kit caught my eye and IT DOES NOT DISAPPOINT! This magical box comes with literally everything you need to get started, very easy and detailed instructions and tips, 3 completely different patterns to choose from that range in difficulty, AND links to video tutorials for each type of knot you’ll use - which are honestly the best step-by-step knot videos I’ve ever watched! Amazing customer service, high-quality and beautiful products, and all the help you could possibly need if you get confused. 5 stars!

UPDATE: After posting the review, I was contacted by the seller who informed us Amazon had sent an incomplete kit. We worked it out with Amazon and got a replacement package, which WAS packaged in a box, with even more helpful material. It's been a fun side project for my daughter, she's loving learning macrame, and has no trouble following the instructions provided now that we have enough cording. It really is a great gift idea, or weekend project! We got this for my teen for her birthday, and when I got the package I was greatly disappointed in the packaging. It was just the stick, rope, and a paper booklet in a plastic bag. From the product photo, I was expecting a box for it to come in so I could just wrap it. Then, when my daughter went to use it, it didn't include enough rope for even one project- it only had 120 yards instead of the 220 described. She is really bummed, so I got online to write this review and order rope from someone else. She likes the project ideas included (even though we would like to know the finish sizes before beginning, not included), but it's null because she can't complete them. I'm being generous with the 2 stars because the project ideas are very cool for future use.

So there are patterns for 3 different projects. I ended up doing the last one and adding a few personal touches. I'm new to Macrame this is the second wall hanging I've ever made. The instruction booklet shows pictures of how to do each knot that is used in the projects, but the instructions are all written. I was still able to figure it out, even as a beginner, but it was more challenging than step by step instructions with pictures. I did not want to download an app to view the video and couldn't find it on YouTube. I'm still happy how it turned out and with my purchase

This is the perfect starter kit for beginners. It comes with everything you need including a book that gives detailed step by step instructions on how to make 3 different projects ranging from super easy to challenging. In the front, they show you how to do all of the basic knots that will be used in the projects. The instructions are very easy to understand but if you happen to have trouble, they have a link/qr code in the book to access help. I used it quite a few times and their customer service is superb. Melanie is the founder and she is super sweet and helpful. All in all, this kit is amazing and I am so happy that I bought it. The only thing I will say is that I would suggest buying more cord and dowels if you plan on making more projects.

I ordered this as my first macrame adventure. It took 2-3 hours to complete and I LOVE the end result! I always enjoyed making knotted bracelets and things as a kid, so this was right up my alley and I have something beautiful to display in my home that I made myself! The instructions in the booklet were very clear and the pictures were super helpful for knots that were new to me. My only complaint is that they don’t instruct you how to knot off the square knot strands or the twisted strands, so I made it up. I haven’t frayed the ends yet, but I just love how this turned out.

It was an okay beginners practice kit. The string could be of better quality and the instructions could be more clear.

Loved that the kit came with everything you need to dive right in. I’m a beginning to macrame but the instructions and step-by-step videos (I’m a visual learner!) have helped make the process pretty fool-proof. I also really liked that there are options of different patterns to make, all of which look amazing! I’m about half way through my piece and will update with a photo once it’s finished. I plan on gifting my finished piece to a close friend for the holidays who is a huge fan of macrame. I’d suggest it’s also a really nice gift to give someone unfinished, if you know or think they might be into macrame!

I love this macramé project! I'm not quiet finished, because I'm stretching it out over a few weeks to eat up some winter inside time. But so far, the instructions were simple to follow, and the online videos were even better for me as a visual learner. I have enough cord left over that I think I'll be able to do at least two projects total as one other reviewer stated (will just have to get another dowel). Overall, this is a great kit for beginners (I've never macrame-ed before) with a cool wall hanging as your end product.

Turned out really well, I had never completed anything like this previously but the instructions were straight forward and it turned out really well!

Product came in a nice box with very easy to follow instructions. I wouldnt call this macrame though. It is not jute it is more like string. The photos of the projects you can make look larger than they actually turn out to be. The string they provide does not give this same look. A bit disappointing for sure.
