Great product
This product was recommended by my dental hygienist many years ago. I use it every day and even take it along on trips to keep my oral health.

Even a Hydro Floss won't save your teeth if it's not part of an overall plan.
I had a Hydro Floss for about eight years before it started leaking profusely. I've read since that it possibly could have been fixed, but not knowing, I simply threw it out. After reading some of the comments, I may be very lucky if this one lasts another eight years -- but I'm hoping! Most of us "learn the hard way" throughout most areas of our lives, including taking care of our teeth. It's sort of like the reasoning that occurs when one doesn't drop dead after a few cigarettes. Ah, what could be the harm? I'm still alive. So is the reasoning with not brushing at least twice a day, flossing at least once every day, using a non-alcohol based mouthwash just once daily, AND using an oral irrigator daily. We can get away with a lot for quite a while. But then as we age, the problems begin -- due almost ENTIRELY to the lack of care when we were younger -- when those nasty little bacteria were quietly eating away at the very bone holding our teeth in place, and causing cavities, infections, and abscesses that result in fillings, root canals, loose or lost teeth, etc. And new research is now telling us those little critters even go down our throats and cause all kinds of deviltry with our heart function, as well.If dentists would only show on large screens in their offices what those nasty little bacteria actually look like, and the damage they're doing chomping away, we'd all be having nightmares unless we'd done everything possible to prevent their evil doings before we went to bed! We'd all be brushing, flossing, gargling, and using a Hydro Floss daily. But then, the dentists would lose a lot of business, so I can understand their hesitancy to make a clear, visual picture of what's happening all day and all night inside our mouths while we're going on about our business -- assuming all is well if we simply brush once or twice a day. Oh, yes, brushing also needs to be done with a GOOD electiric toothbrush, and everyone needs to brush their tongue, as well, since that's where many or perhaps most of the bacteria actually reside.About ten years ago when I finally realized the extent of the damage to my bone, my research also led me to the absolute need for CoQ10 supplementation for oral health, as well as chewing on a probiotic once or twice a day in between meals. There are probiotic products now made for this very reason -- ones you simply let dissolve in your mouth. Just don't do that immediately after gargling with something that kills ALL bacteria, including the good ones. Personally, I gargle in the morning, and chew/dissolve my probiotic after brushing at night. You also need calcium, as well as a strontium supplement. Just don't take them at the same time, as I'm told one cancels the other out. In fact, I think it says something about that right on the bottle of strontium. And it goes without saying that if you expose your teeth to sugared coffee or soda throughout the day and eat a lousy diet, even a Hydro Floss may not help you save your teeth!Maybe you can tell I was a teacher, because I realize I went way off course from the topic. (Didn't all your teachers do that occasionally?) So...getting back to the Hydro Floss: I purchased a Waterpik when my old Hydro Floss died, since I was able to take it home that day. I used it for a couple of months, but just wasn't happy with my ability to get it where it needed to go in the furthest reaches of the mouth, if that makes sense. It must be designed just differently enough that it wasn't as comfortable for me as the Hydro Floss. Plus, even my dentist stated that in his opinion the Hydro Floss was the best oral irrigator on the market. I know I'm sold on it! And I hope this related info was helpful to some of you. I really don't believe in scaring young children to death, but it might not be a bad idea to find a video showing what live bacteria actually look like. I wish someone had shown those little critters to me when I was young. My teeth would definitely be in better shape today!

Our family loves this
We're now buying 2 more, so we'll have a total of 4 of these, one for each of us. I've been buying the Hydrofloss over the last 10 years. My husband and I shared the first one, both using it 2x a day, so it lasted a few years then died. They're not meant to last forever, so we got another. Yes, it's noisy, but it's a little motor doing all that work. I put mine on a folded cloth so it cuts down on the noise a lot. Our gums are far better because of this machine. My 13 year old has braces and started using this when the braces went on 8 months ago. The dentist told her today her gums are looking great. Her machine is still working great. I see some reviews where the machine has problems, I suggest calling the company and talking to them. I've had questions before and they were very helpful. For myself, this helped my gums greatly when I had deep pockets, but I still kept pockets of "4" on certain teeth for years. It wasn't until I switched from an electric toothbrush to the sulca brush that my pockets went away (I was irritating my gums with the electric toothbrush, even though I used the sensitive brush with it). You'd be amazed at the gunk that comes out of your teeth while using this.

Not very powerful
I've had three units of this product over the last many years and each one has been of lesser quality. This recent one, at maximum, sprays like like the last one sprayed at level 3. I guess I'll have to go to another brand. These have a nice big tub which I like. But quality and performance has gone way down.I finally read instructions and decided to run water and vinegar through the unit. It is very much improved. But still not as good as the first unit many years ago.

Works well, and cleans gums perfectly.
At first I wasn’t sure if I’d like this machine, but once I mastered how to use a water flosser it has changed my view on them. It has a large water reservoir and several pics that can be used. What I like best is the various water pressures that can be set to. Since I was a novice with this sort of equipment, I selected the very least amount of water flow pressure, I now am able to work with a medium water pressure flow. I’m glad I bought this flosser.

Didn't work.
Have used a Hydrofloss for decades. Ordered this one and unit quit after 2 uses. Out-of-town company came for a surprise visit and I missed the return window by 2 days--my bad. Ordered a prime replacement from another seller, works perfect and was packaged more safely.
