I thought this would be a great little table game to have always set out. Not only is it a piece for decor but it’s a simple game for children to play. Even my teen finds it entertaining to piddle with.The tray that has nine slots for the X’s and O’s (hearts) is a natural wood grain that has been sanded and polished. The corners have been nicely done and are soft to the touch. The long edges on each side have been rounded and add to the pleasing look.The tiles are all very similar in size. They vary ever so slightly but to me that just says they weren’t stamped out by some machine. I like the handmade quality. Each block is smooth and finished. The X’s and O’s are actually X’s and hearts. They are cut from a thin metal sheet and then nailed onto the tile. The nail heads are tiny and add even more character to the tiles. The cutouts are almost perfect but most likely stamped by a hand machine or cut. Again, nothing is absolutely perfect that it looks like it came from a factory. It all adds to the unique qualities and quaint charm.The bottom of the base has four pads to protect the surface the game sits on. It also keeps the board from sliding around when playing with the pieces.This is a sweet addition for a coffee table or even a kids room. I think the large pieces are easy to manuipliate and good for small and large hands alike. The pieces are all smooth so there is no concern of jagged edges or splinters. My wife likes the hearts for O’s and thinks it makes them feel more personable. It’s rustic and charming. There are many applications or even just a practical game to play. My kids have enjoyed tinkering with this game. It’s also small enough that they have carried it from room to room on their own. The playing pieces nestle into the base as well making it easy to transport even for littles.

This is a very good value for the money and it looks nice sitting out as a decorative piece and I love the hearts instead of zeros and the rustic vibe....but the color of the board I received is radically darker than the game pieces and much darker than anything pictured. It's isn't a deal breaker but at least for my situation I would have preferred a lighter colored, matching game board.

This Earthly Home Premium Hand Carved Wooden Tic Tac Toe Game is adorable in a rustic, well-weathered way. It looks like a well-loved, hand-carved game right out of the box. I love that there are hearts instead of typical "O" ones, and it's just simple and fun to use - and even just to look at.We have the "rustic farmhouse" look in some areas of our house and this is just perfect with that theme. My youngest son loves it a lot, and even when we sit down on the couch to watch a family movie, he can't resist playing a quick game with me right on our rustic-looking coffee table.It's definitely something that won't wear down or break over time, and it's very solid. It's also a nice size for traveling (not too big), and the blocks are still large enough to see and grab easily if they get misplaced or removed. If you have a cabin, this would be perfect to add to the woodsy theme. It's just homey and inviting. Love this one - it gets two thumbs up from us!

It is super cute but has only 3 hearts and 6 X’s can’t play the game with that set up.

It's fine. I didn't look at the size properly. It's very small. I thought it was a lot larger. It's cute for the kids, but I would prefer it to be at least tue size of a sheet of paper.

I have this on the coffee table in my living room as a centerpiece. My living Room style is an earthy rustic look with lots of rustic looking wood décor so this goes perfectly in it. I like the grain pattern in the wood and I like that sum of the squares are different from the others and each piece is different looking in tone and grain. The hearts and exes are little metal pieces with teeny little nails in them. It gives it such a cute rustic and industrial look.My children have been playing this since receiving it and they love it.It is excellent quality and can withstand a lot of rough play, which is very necessary in our home! 😋 The bottom up the board has little foam circular pieces on each corner which help prevent the board from sliding when playing it. It also helps keep the board from scratching whatever surface you plan to keep it on.

It's well made & looks nice sitting out.-The x's and hearts are hammered down-The game is nicely sanded; there's no rough edges-The bottom of the game has felt pieces so it won't scratch your furniture-The pieces are loose & can fall outThe only thing that bothered me was the loose pieces.-- so, I decided to use velcro style dots to secure them. I put the hook piece on the bottom of the game, the soft side (loops) on the piece itself. I cut the dots to position them so the x's and hearts sit evenly without rocking back and forth.It's working well. Now I can let the game sit anywhere, even upside down, without worrying about the pieces falling out. I'll probably cut a few pieces of paper to use between the dots so we don't have to struggle pulling the x's and hearts off the board while we're playing.
