VDM60-LO HVAC Damper Actuator, 24VAC/DC On/Off, Floating Non-Spring Return

I have 5 of these activators in my house which was built in 2005. 13 years later one finally stopped working. The company that installed the system in 2005 came out and replaced it. The labor was $73 and the cost of the part was $389. Fortunately, it's hard to fool me twice. Since then I've been buying these and doing the job myself. It's a piece of cake. The instructions are clear. Incidentally, I learned a few weeks ago that the same company in Ocala, Florida is charging over 400 bucks for the part these days! I understand parts markups to a degree but this I find very discouraging because it causes me to realize how greed surely must be at least a factor. The markup seems so extreme to me. I'm all the more convinced that our society is going to hell in a hand basket partly because of things like this. This is a good product. The price is fair. Be careful, take your time, and do it yourself.

Unit fit perfectly is place of a EWC damper motor. worked great.

I was looking for a cheaper option to replace my existing dampers, HF21KJ005. These were a direct bolt in replacement (you may need to use a washer to get the bolt that holds it into the duct to grab if your existing one doesn't quite line up). You just need to adjust the open/close degrees via the built in adjusters (super easy). As others have said I love the indicator lights and I also like that the open AND close are adjustable because it allows you to force them to stay open a little bit if you want to. Plan on buying more as my other dampers go out.

Very easy to set up and install on one of my 3 HVAC dampers. These motors wear out, and any home that uses them will eventually need replacement. I now have 3 different motors for the 3 different dampers in my house since they have all been replaced at different times. The valemo unit fit the exact specifications of the EWC MA-ND3 motor I needed to replace. It's as simple as removing the wires from the old one, loosening the axle clamp, unscrewing the old unit from the damper, and then reversing the removal process to install this one. This one is just as fast, just as quiet, and once it's installed, it's basically maintenance free until it needs replacement. The status lights are a nice feature. Very happy - and far less expensive than my local AC repair shop. Total removal and install time was about 20 minutes.

Replaced my broken actuator that had the garage zone open at all times. simply took the old one off and installed the new one. wires matches up mounting matched up literally took 5 minutes and my garage zone works properly again. lights show position of damper, manual release to move or set your damper door in the correct position. works exactly a the original unit

My old damper motor burnt out. I was able to install this one in about 15 minutes. Very easy and functions well.

Bought two of these to control dampers in the house. They seem of good quality and were easy to install.

This item was delivered on time. I replaced the Honeywell ML6161A2009 with this, 10 minutes for installation.
